Hey Everyone!
a couple of months ago I posted that I was going to start my boyfriend on e-cigs to help him kick his almost 40 year smoking habit. Well, I'm happy to report that it has gone very well. He almost never smokes anymore but vapes a lot now. I started him on the Joytech, 510 batteries with the Kanger horizontal coil cartomizers, similar to the kit in this link but with the cartomizers, not the cartridges:

Battery: NicFitNation.com - Canadian supplier of e-cig kits, parts, accessories, and e-liquids - Buy a PV- The "Maverick" 510 E-Cig Starter Kit
Cartomizer: NicFitNation.com - Canadian supplier of e-cig kits, parts, accessories, and e-liquids - Kanger H-Coil Cartomizers

Well, I think it's time for him to upgrade. Of the two batteries that I bought him, one long and one short, the long one doesn't work properly anymore (we believe it shorted out when some liquid leaked inside) and the short one doesn't seem to hold a charge long enough to last him a day of vaping.

I'd love to get some suggestions from people on what his next purchase could be. Something that's still easy to use, like the cartomizer set up, but longer lasting and gives a satisfying vape.

Thanks!

Buy a ProVari!

Just kidding...had to say that, it is in the rules somewhere...

I would look at something like the eGo Twist. Still a manageable size, battery will last a good bit longer than what he has now. Add a couple easy to fill Kanger T-3 clearomizers and he should be set. Consider a couple batteries, a couple clearos, and some juice and see how that goes.

eGo Twist would be a logical upgrade. If he's stuck on "cigarette sized" ecigs, then the options narrow. To get long life from a battery size and mass are necessary. eGo Twist comes in 1000mah sizes and would give him variable voltage to dial in the right vape level, all in a small package. You'd still need two of those to keep vaping while the other is charging.

1000+ mAh batteries last even a heavy vaper several hours. If he's not a heavy vaper, they will last an entire day. I have two ego 1000 mAh ego batteries and I am never without a fully charged battery. Also I have a 650 as a backup just in case plus a recently built box mod that uses three 2700 mAh nimh AA batteries just for the fun of it that works equally as well.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

No offense intended, but maybe the bf should decide and make his own choice.

Yzer, I'm doing the research and footwork for him because he doesn't have the time. That's not to say that he doesn't have a choice in the matter. We will go over what people have so helpfully suggested here and then he will ultimately decide what he wants to try.

We are total noobs so it can be a bit daunting to jump into picking from all the devices available without knowing anything about them first.

Once again, thanks everyone :)

At night when reading in bed I want a simple device to vape. I normally drip all day or use a e-pipe but this is one of the best simple fill it and vape set-ups I have found...Kanger EVOD BCC on an eGo Twist. Great vapor and great flavor in a no fuss unit.
