Hey folks

Im new to vaping(10 days without an analog) and i could use some help. Thanks to a friend of mine and his direction i went with a provari mini and im currently using cartomizer tanks. No one in my vaping circle does anything with atomizers so im completely lost in this department. I am looking for a way to taste test flavors without filling my tank and from what i read a drip atomizer is the way to go. I've done a bit of research already and i know i need the atomizer itself in a 510 connection and also a drip shield, i also read that i may need a 510 to 510 adapter for the drip shield to work on my provari. So the point of this thread is as follows

I want to confirm what i need to drip out of my provari mini??

And

What website offers atomizers, drip shields and if need be the adapter so i can order it all from one place??

Thanks in advance

Welcome to ECF , but all you really need is a few atty's , and a drip tip . Try getting a LR , as well as a standard resistance . The drip shields are mostly for looks , these days . Some of the older atty's used to leak , but not much of that anymore . So if you want to bling out your setup , go for it . Good luck . Also after you try a new juice , with an atty , you can rinse it out in some vodka , for a few minutes , then let it dry alittle . Then you can use it again . If you want to use it quicker , do a few fast "dry burns" to dissipate the remaining vodka .

I'm new also and at the direction of a senior member, I now have several bridgeless atty's that I rotate. When I'm done tasting new flavors, I rinse them in hot water, then a short soak in vodka followed by a final rinse to get ride of the vodka. Then I blow them out with canned air. Keeps them clean and gunk free. I also bought a dozen 3ml pocket bottles to carry my favs around without needing a backpack

I went with empiremods for everything but the atomizer. They only had LR ones and I wanted a standard so when I ordered my 30ml of gorilla juice from avejuice I got 2 boge SR atomizers. Thanks for your help ill let you know how it goes once I get everything and start dripping.

    UPDATE

I got all my dripping goodies and im alittle dissapointed .... maybe its me ... maybe i did something wrong. I put everything together and i loaded a couple drops of juice in the atty and it was bubbling and girgling like a flooded carto, i was getting juice in my mouth and some juice even dripped on my provari. so i dry burned the atty 2-3 times to cook some of the juice off and wiped my provari, then i went to vape and it tasted horrible(like a burnt taste). So i went and did 2 small drops and still a nasty taste. i tried changing flavors and nothing i did seemed to help the atty along. What am i doing wrong?? or did i get a bad atty??

If you're getting reallt wet gurgling and leaking, I'd pull it off and blow it out in a paper towel.

General rules of thumb for a new atty is to clean it first. A lot of vendors ship new attys with primer. I clean mine with PGA but a $6 bottle of 100 proof vodka works great too. (soak in PGA/Vodka for a few minutes, blow out excess).

To prime for vaping, drip ~6 drops in a freshly cleaned atty and let it soak in for a minute or so. take a dry toot on the atty (no heat yet) and if you hear a very slight gurgle sound (a crispy gurgle sound not a wet sound) vape it. If you don't add 1-2 drops and try again. If you flood it again (happens to all of us ;)) blow it out again and re-prime (if it's not leaking out the bottom you may be able to vape through it).

For switching flavors, I use 100% VG ($5/6oz@CVS Pharmacy "Pure Glycerin USP"). Puffing through a few drops of no-nic/no-flavor let's the next flavor come right up.

I tried a number of dripping atomizers and didn't keep any of them.

I eventually bought a Cisco Spec HH.357. It was $20 or so, but worth every penny.

It hits like a train. I use a fast draw with it and love it.

Add 6 drops at first, then hit it until it is dry. Add 2 more drop, keep hitting.

I threw out the other dripping atomizers I had. Only Avid Vapers Cisco Spec HH.357 atomizers for my dripping needs.
