There are lots of juice vendors that let you specify the exact mix as far as VG and PG. Some will even offer totally PG free juice (no PG based flavors) for those that have a bad reaction to PG. There are really too many to mention them all easily. You may need to get into the details of the juice ordering process to see what they offer. Some will also offer different throat hit levels, Viking Vapor comes to mind, but I'm sure there are others.

So far I've learned that tobacco content may increase harshness... I now know not to order a high tobacco content....

Flavoring as a general rule will not increase TH by themselves. PG content will increase TH. I'm not a big fan of it, so my juices are either 50/50 or 60/40.
Right, which is why I've decided to go with 100% VG flavored with apple. Thats IF flavoring dosen't cause an increase in TH, if it does, I'll go with 100% pure vg no flavoring.

EGO LR atty, ego cartridge, and a battery that can properly support a EGO LR atty... Can I get recommendations on the battery itself?
Also, can I get pointed to a website that will allow me to buy individual parts and have em cheapish?

I think you'll end up spending more for individual parts than for a kit. Don't forget to add a charger and you'll want 2 batteries and 2 atties. You really want at least 1 spare atty or a pack of cartos. You could add one of those in LR to a kit and be set. Oh, and if you plan to primarily use atties/carts and not cartos, get 5 extra carts. A cheap drip tip might also be good to add.
