Already spent this months budget. :) I have 1 red, 1 blk, 1 stainless and 10 coils in my cart for July 1st @ 12:01am.

Awesome!

kena, do you use a flavor wick on top ? Or just the wick in the coil? I don't know anything about wicking, so parden me if Im asking a weird question.

Is it perhaps that the 3mm is thick enough to make up for the flavor wick?

I've always been curious, because I haven't taken the plunge and started rebuilding the coils yet (i've been saving all my pro tank and evod coils that are spent in an old empty pill bottle).

Do you replace the flavor wick? Or just toss the old one and leave it out?

If you don't replace the flavor wick, does the evod leak? Does it work any different?

I use 2mm silica wick doubled over, so 4mm thickness overall. No flavor wick needed. As long as there isn't space between your wick and the top rubber piece you shouldn't have leaking issues. If it turns out your wick isn't thick enough and space remains, adding that "flavor wick" on top of the pre-existing one should solve the issue. Actual flavor remains consistent with both methods.

few points from me:

1) if you dig the eVod, but find your protank too cool or airy, pop an eVod coilhead into the protank. Awesome.

2) the eVod construction is very much like an MT3, plastic tank with metal sleeve. The base actually threads onto the sleeve, which is adhered to the tank. They can seperate, leaving you with a mess of juice, and an utterly useless tank. IMO, get a new T3S, they thread onto the tank, not the sleeve, use similar coils (T3S coils will work in protanks, and eVods too), give a great vape, and hold more juice. Can't say enough good things about the T3S.

that said, I'm super excited for the mini protank, looks awesome!

I got the EVOD and was NOT impressed. In fact I thought the vapor output was terrible at any voltage. But I was reading the lower ohm heads were really popular than the 2.6 it comes with, so I got some 1.8 ohm heads. It is completely different, more throat hit than my tanks, great vapor production, and I love it. And this is at 3.5-3.6 volts.

I think the flavor wicks were an afterthought. The testers noticed some flooding and instead of making bigger coils they just added a piece or two on the top.
Or...they lurked on here since December, when another name I had (can't recover) always advised laying a wick over the top slot in a vivi head.

Ah...the plug and play days

How often does that happen? I just picked up an eVod and I prefer it over the t3 I have... seems like a better vape... and, unlike the t3, I just ran the eVod almost dry and it didn't leak a drop..

Is the sleeve separation thing common?

I've used Evods for 4 months, and never had that happen.
