Need coil advice please

OK, I have finally decided to start rebuilding. I have ordered a Taifun V2 clone and am not sure what size wire I should start with.
I am looking for flavor mostly and don't really have the gear for sub ohming. So am I correct in thinking I need larger gauge wire?

And yes I also ordered an ohm reader and have a relatively decent grasp on ohms law, I am just one of those people who always second guesses myself.

Higher gauge wire to be more specific. most people seem to gravitate towards 28ga micro coils. Take a look at some of the coil builds on here, and experiment till you find what you like the best

Lets Start with your gear.. Thats going to help the most, the type of juice you use would be helpfull and finally what are you vaping out of NOW..

My advise is to start with a setup in the new Atty that is close to your current atty and work from their.. Start with what you know. So IF you are currently vaping at 2ohm and 7watts, build the new atty, to pretty much those same specs the first few times and adjust from there.

My current setup is an MVP 20 watt with a Nautilus using the 1.6 ohm coil. I usually run it anywhere between 10 and 14 watts depending on the juice, I use high VG.

I was thinking I would get 28ga wire.

28/29awg is always a good place to start for coils above 1ohm and below 2ohms, for single coils, and for dual or parallel coils below 1ohm.
