Hi, everyone!

I've got a list here of ones that I think would be right for the job, but since I do not have them in front of me, nor is it possible to do so, I'm in need of your help.

Just a side note, don't take price into account or give me links to "deals"...I'm in Canada so it's not like I'll actually be saving much if anything with customs and all that...

I've also always wanted a Squonker, a regulated squonker but they were so damn $$$...back in the days when I couldn't find a good RTA that didn't leak...now that I found my beloved Griffins, I'm wondering if I should still get a squonker?

Here's my list;
(Not in any kind of order)
Prices in CAD$
60$ smok Alien 220w
65$ smok H-Priv 220w
75$ Pioneer4You IPV6x 200w
68$ Sigelei Fuchai 213 213w
55$ Vaporesso Tarot Pro VTC 160w
70$ smok X-Cube Ultra 220w
65$ Joyetech Cuboid 150w
70$ IJoy Maxo Quad 315w
65$ Wismec Reuleaux RX200S 200w
110$ IJoy Limitless LUX 215w
140$ Limitless 200w TC Box Mod
200$ Lost Vape Halcyon DNA200 Squonker
210$ Lost Vape Triade DNA200
190$ Lost Vape Therion DNA133
190$ Lost Vape Efusion Duo DNA133/200 (in Abalone).
250$ SX Mini Q Class
295$ Hexohm HEXNA 900

P.S: This list is becoming EXPENSIVE! Damn!

I'm leaning towards getting a 3 or 4 battery mod for "at home" usage and maybe a 2 battery mod for "on the go".

Something durable, that performs well, has a durable finish unlike my iStick TC100w

Battery lasts a long time on 50-80w. Batteries must be replaceable in the "at home" mod and long lasting >900mah 3S Lipos for the "On the go" device. "At home" mod must be compatible with 25mm attys. I think I got all the important details.
If the "at home" mod stays upright easily that's a plus. If there's a skin available for the mods, especially the "on the go" mod, that's even better.

I'm trying to replace my Vtwo Mini "on the go" since I use a Griffin on it at around 60w+ therefore it doesn't take long for it to show "weak battery" and start reducing the wattage and give poor performance.

Although my iStick TC100w performs decently well still, it's falling apart, the finish looks like it went through hell and back. Even the mechanical locking mechanism is now too loose to work in any capacity, in fact it prevents me from taking a puff more often than it prevents the vape from setting itself off when not in use..

So with all that said, I think it's time for an upgrade! And as much as I'd love to own a Lost Vape mod, I'm not sure if I'll be able to convince myself that I need one hehe

Thanks for all your suggestions it's very appreciated!
Cheers,
SunnyHours!

Unfortunately i think that none of the mods you listed
are very promising with regards to long term durability.
All these chinese mods don't age very well imo.
Especially Joyetech and subsidiaries Wismec and Eleaf are pretty flimsy imo.

Lost vape... same thing.. cheap mod with a good chip and some
window dressing. Plenty of reports of paint peeling on the triad.
Brass squonk pin on the Halycon, etc.

Don't get me wrong... i buy these mods myself. Love my Wismecs, Smoks and
isticks. I am going to get a Triade... for the price i think they are good.

If you want something that is good for the long term, i'd take
a look at american or european made mods. Provape, Dicodes,
Hexohm... or a solid box mod from a small modder.

I already own a Provari mini 2.5 and used to love it, but none of their current offerings really fulfill my needs.
I do appreciate you telling me the beautiful mods Lost Vape makes at a very high price aren't durable. I would be slightly ...... if my RX200S broke after a few months, but I'd be making one hell of a scene if a 200$ mod broke not too long after purchasing it.

I'm thinking maybe just going for an RX200S with a Silicone Skin with it to help keep it in good shape. I also like the IJoy Maxo Quad 315w, it's in the same alley as the RX200S. Just not sure if there'll be some skins available for the IJoy.

I like the Dicodes mods but their Box mods don't go high enough in voltage and battery settings to my taste. Sadly because they look really well made...might keep their tube mods in mind for portable use.

And in the Hexohm I actually liked their Hexohm HEXNA 900 which is a DNA200 device...I guess while I'm up in these price point I might as well add the SX Mini Q Class...

Any other recommendations?

Some may not like this answer:
My koopor plus (200w,dual 18650) in the stainless finish, comes with a silicone skin, is almost a year old, it was my at home until i started squonking around a month ago (outnabout was a black evic vtc mini, also a year old and still running) good mods (im not terribly hard on them, but i do work in construction for a living, so they have been dropped on hard surfaces from distances greaterthan 3ft) both do temp control, both have upgradeable firmware (evic is user upgradeable, koopor is not)both can be had (here in the states, at least) for around $100USD total.koopor fits tfv4 full size and troll v2 25mm with a slight overhang in the front, but not on the sides.evic mini got run as a little dripper , or with kanger stm most of the time. I build around .5 ohm most of the time (304 stainless steel )and battery life was pretty good (a full day at work, or 2 days at home, running at 20watts on the evic or 60ish with the koopor), with lg hg2s, or samsung 25rs.

Another option is the evic vtcmini dual, swap battery case for 1 or 2 batteries depending on where you are going to be 2 mods for the price of 1, also, rx2/3 ,swap for 2batts to go out or 3 to stay home

I'm actually quite ...... about having bought an Evic VTwo Mini just a month or so ago. Probably wouldn't be looking for a new mod right now.

I've also added some new mods to the list in my OP...
Still open to suggestions ;)

I'm thinking maybe just going for an RX200S with a Silicone Skin

Whatever else you decide you might as well grab one of these anyways as you already seem inclined. they go for $43, do 250 watts with the firmware update 4.1 and the skins selection is ridiculous!
FastTech - Gadgets and Electronics

Very happy with mine but I don't expect it to last any longer than anything else regulated. My mecs are 3 yrs old and still perfect lol
I'd love to own a lah-de-dah polished steel and stabilized wood DNA 200 but no way at $350-500+ a pop!
Hope you find something that works for ya bud.

Well if you look at the Hotcigs R150 it's not too expensive and looks pretty nice with the Abalone side doors. It's not stabilized wood but I think Abalone might be the cheapest elegant and classy material. If you know a great Custom modder you might get a really sweet box mod for not too much $$$...

Also, the more I think of it, if they break, it'll just be another reason to get a better mod LOL
But seriously, I'm probably gonna go for a Wismec RX200S (with a skin) & maybe a Smok Alien 220w, but I'm not certain about that last one...
Now that I've been looking at the new tanks that came out, I'm not sure if I'll take the Griffin 25 Plus after all. Maybe just the Griffin 25 Mini and another kind like the Mage(24mm)/Serpent Mini(25mm)/Griffin 25 Plus(25mm)/Goblin Mini v3(22mm)?. Anyways gonna have to do some more research lol

Thanks guys for your help!

I've just went for the alien. I'm liking it a lot.
Definitely a step up in build quality from e-leaf. Seems way more solid than Wismec as well.
Obviously can't say anything about long-term durability yet.
I like it that much that i consider getting another one actually.
Concerning tanks i like the Mage and Serpent Mini, and i got Griffin 25 Plus and Goblin Mini v3 coming, so yeah
i say nice selection.

haha, funny you should mention that as I was just looking at it and reading reviews; seems someone else had picked one up at Gearbest for under $50 on offer but more like $70 something from FT using MAP code. Looks pretty sweet!

If money is no object (lol) I would love a vaporized nomads box myself.
American company, full warranty and can have a full laser engraved design. They are all lipo boxes and range from 2-500 bucks. Oh and they just launched the DNA 250 board.
They make beautiful mods and back them fully, unlike a lot of companies out there, unfortunately for me they are a bit out of my price range.:2c:
