    Hi ^.^

I need to get my SO a durable mech box mod.

He's been plagued with VV devices that fall apart, even tho all they do is chill on the coffee table. The latest one? The eleaf 50w has started firing on its own. Again, because this is the second one that has started doing that. Luckily the first time it was still under the 90 day guarantee so MVS swapped it out. The other two have all had center post problems and just completely stopped firing.

So, this doesn't need to be anything super fancy. But, this needs to be durable. Like, Provari durable.

    Preferably using two 18650 batteries.

He uses a Subtank Mini at around .50ohms.

Thinking of just getting him a Rage Box like mine, however I have had some issues with it as well. So I come here, what is the most durable mechanical box mod out there?

Would like to keep it around $100.

    Thanks!!!

For an absolutely bombproof mod, take a look at the Raptor. 100% mechanical, no wires, and a simple heavy duty switch. Milled from a solid block of aluminum or copper with two holes bored into it for the batteries. Pretty near indestructible I would think. Clones available from US shippers starting at ~$24.

I'm also looking for good parallel mech boxes instead of regulated ones, and after doing a lot of research, i've currently milled the interessting selection down to these:

Dimitri, nikita, raptor, cherry bomber(a little bad rep, but still...)dos equis and castigador...

The first three are some of the most popular and you can't really go wrong with any of these I think...

Along the same lines as the Raptor - but, IMO even more 'heavy duty' is the Bigfoot by Cigreen. It is an absolute monster - you could build a bomb shelter out of them. I don't think there are any clones available, but they're only $50. I've had mine for a few months now and it has been flawless. It also has no wires - just big, thick solid chunks of metal for all of the contact points. I recommend maybe checking out a couple of reviews for it on Youtube. If you want indestructible- you're probably not going to get much better than that - plus it performs very well and the price is right. Good luck!

This is exactly what we went with. $50 in stock at the BM was absolutely perfect.

thanks, took the pic myself just for fun ... wow, out od stock? I guess I was lucky. Real solid feel, strong even though quite a tad bit on the heavy side, well, yes, it IS heavy.
