Hi all,

Tried to search and found all sorts of advice regarding other atomizers etc but could not find anything regarding the EGO W clearomizer dismantling and adjusting wick. I get a good hit the first time i use and then no th, and harsh taste which must be a dry hit. Bear with me as very new to this. Reason I think that the wick might be pinched is coz when I leave it for a while, I get a good hit but then, burnt taste and no th. Any help please would be greatly appreciated. Maybe a link to a vid or something.

thanks

Are you using a high VG liquid? I found they don't wick as well.

My dos centavos.

Thanks for replying. To be honest, I am using the same juice on both my ego. One works fantastic but the other works as described above. Tried changing the batteries and even closed one of the airholes but still got same prob. Now I was surfing the net and it was suggested that you tilt the ego upside down to wet the wicks but since one works great with no tilting whilst the other doesn't is getting me slightly confused. Still new to this thing so have not experimented much with juices. Am using the usa mix 24mg pg based at the mo.

thanks for the help

I haven't tried (or really needed to) to disassemble one, but have you tried pulling out the silicone plug/center cap and then reseating it?

Every so often, I do run some 100% pg Dekang in one if it gets kind of "gunky". I use a clear juice - strong mint. And they hit like new again.

Today I dismantled the clearomizer. Bit of a hassle to remove the plug and being dumb, I left the liquid in it so when i pulled it out the metal rod in the center dislodged with the obvious result. Anyway, I cut a bit out from the plug so as not to crimp the wick and refitted everything back. Slightly better but I think that it's not working as it should. When I tilt it, it works well so its most probably something to do with the wick not wetting the coil well but at least now I know how to dismantle. Have ordered new clearomizers which hopefully will work fine. Will let you know the results. Thanks a lot for your suggestions, cheers my friend

so i got 2 batches of clearomizers, 1 batch is perfect but i noticed the wick on the second ones is too short, it seems like i needs to be pulled out so it's longer. i'm only able to vape 2 or 3 hits on the other one before it starts to taste like plastic and barely produces vapor. so how can i pull the wick? thanks
