Carto tanks will fit on your eGo just fine. You probably will want the 3.5ml. size (probably already covered in this thread, but I only skimmed over the posts...getting ready to send hubby and son to the hospital for son's surgery). You can get a little "cone" or thread cover to hide the threads on your eGo with the tank on it...and it'll offer some support too. Actually the tanks look quite nice on the eGos!

because every carto, clearo, atty out there uses a coil wrapped around wicks. Even a cartomizer has wicks in the coil under all that polyfill.

I agree, but there is a clear difference in vaping a clearo and a carto. I dont care which one people like better, but they are not the same.
My wife prefers clearos, and I prefer cartos. I have used both and the difference, good or bad, you decide, is unmistakable.

Some people prefer wicks, and some dont. Because you do not, a carto tank seems to me a good logical next step to try. If you get a good carto it will work just fine on an Ego battery. Good luck !

mmikee, thank you for the suggestion. I think wick systems are good for those who vape PG juice. For anyone vaping VG, they are not that good. As I'm researching on these clearomizers, its become clear why my wicks get burnt over and again. The reason is the thick VG juice that does not get absorbed in the wick quick enough. There may be some gunk produced by the thick VG juice too. I'm not too sure.

I'm considering two options at the moment. Either I go with cartotanks that have different stuff (polyfill) instead of the wicks. Or I go with some mod. May be the bottom feeder mods will help so that plenty of juice gets pushed to the coil when the bottle is squeezed.

I'm looking into 2 or 3 different bottom feeders, preferably a variable voltage like the ReosMods or some other. There are plenty of them .. Monkeyboxx, VMOD, Innokin iTaste MVP and more ..

Its a whole lot of reading.

The Innokin iTaste MVP is not a bottom feeder...just FYI. Vmod and Reo are. I assume Monkeyboxx is, but I haven't looked at it, to tell the truth. There are some bottom feeders that are made by modders that post here on the forum in the modder sub-forum.

Oh yea, I realized later that Innokin uses the same clearomizers and cartomizers and tankcartos lol .. Just got a little lazy to come back here and edit my post. But shows that you're knowledgeable fourthrok. It is wonderful to realize that I'm communicating with experienced folks who know the stuff. Two thumbs up for everyone's suggestions and help :)

Actually, there are loads of such bottom feeders. There's a thread somewhere here that has a list of about 20 different bottom feeders. Let me find it for ya ...

Here it is: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...der-options-available-current-08292012-a.html

Don't blame me if I pulled you into it now lol .. I'm so digging all of those options and I'm amazed how much of this stuff is out there. Its getting difficult to quickly put your finger on one and buy it in a jiffy :D

I have a few question for the OP. I use clearomizers... CE4, Vision V2, and a Mini Nova. All are wicked and I have only had a burnt popcorn taste, if you will, one time... it was my fault. I have had no issues since... not even on the CE4 that had the burnt taste. My question is to you, how do you vape? By this I mean...

1. When do you push the button?
2. When do you begin to draw?
3. How long do you draw?
4. How many times do you draw while holding the button?
5. When do you release the button?

This is exactly how I vape... if you still have an unburnt clearomizer, please try it and see if it helps.

1. About half a second before I draw I push the button.
2. I draw for about 4 seconds.
3. About half a second before I finish my draw I release the button and then finish my draw (clearing the chamber if you will)
4. If I take more than one back to back draw I release the button between each draw and repeat from step one while exhaling out of my nose.

This works great and I have not had one hint of burnt anything by vaping my clearomizers this way. I do get a lot of TH and Vapor. Let me know if you try this just to rule out vaping style as the cause for the burnt taste. I have done it with 100% VG and mixes of PG and VG.

I got another problem now, it just keeps getting better. The merchants who sell such cartomizers/tanks, don't have good eLiquids. I just wish to save on shipping by ordering all of the stuff from same merchant. I checked Smoktek, most of their eLiquids are out of stock. Really gotta applaud for merchants who showcase tens of eLiquids but then you find only one or two in stock.

Any recommendations for merchants that have both? Sigh ....
Sorry about that, all Hangsen juice is fully restocked now :) Two new lines of liquid will be introduced next week as well.

Even with a cartotank set up, you can have wicking issues. Almost all of my mixes are 50/50 pg/vg and I don't just punch the cartos, I slot them with a huge cut off wheel, 1/16th in slot in the side (some people get a bit worried about the metal dust and cutoff wheel particles getting in the carto: I don't). This is using dual coil cartos, 6ml+ juice a day, and 12 watts.

Bottomfeeders are nice in certain situations. Reo doesn't do very well in super dusty environments like the automotive shop I work in, crud gets in the juice well. Monkeybox is absolutely fantastic, but it is HUGE, its a mod I use at home also because of the beautiful woodwork. Vmod always had issues leaking, and I gave up on it a long time ago: maybe they have fixed them by now?

The genesis rebuildables have tons of issues in their own right, fantastic when you get them working right, waaaay worse then a failommizer when they start acting up.

carto tanks don't work well with thicker juices. especially the smoktech ones with their tiny hole. you have to switch to a 70/30 pg/vg ratio to get most of the devices working. at that ratio even the clearomizers work well.

Pretty sure he said he can't handle the higher PG. Remember you can always thin out your VG juice a bit to help it wick better. If you search that I'm sure you will find a good bit. I know distilled water can be used.

Been a while since you've used one, huh? That's been fixed now for well over a year now.....
