Hi guys - been a while since I posted because to be honest I've not been vaping much lately:oops: The reason being is for some reason I am having trouble with filling cartos so that they don't leak, gurgle like a fountain, have a burning smell, getting juice in my mouth, etc. Got my Riva 510 Starter, ordered some Boge cartos from CCV, got my juice, drip my juice down the sides of cartos, instead of in the middle (how many drops for a 1 ml carto?), and I'm still not doing something right! Before I bought the Boges (which CCV has an excellent price on the 15 for $20, free shipping, can't beat it) I had read one post where someone said the filler in the Boges they got was wound too tight. Mine seems the same. It's almost like the liquid can't get absorbed into the center of the filler. I'm still so new at that - cleaned my first 5 cartos in boiling water the other nite after watching a You Tube video - boiled 5 minutes - took them off - set them end up to dry - they still look dirty and smell like juice. One guy's video said just blow real hard into the unthreaded end of the carto and it will clear out all the excess juice and unclog it. That does work but I about passed out from the blowing  I recently ordered some juice from Virgin Vapors and got a pack of the Bud Sapphire cartos - they're clear. Anybody know anything about these? The woman at VV says she uses these and loves them especially for testing her flavors but they don't last as long as Boges. She suggests using a syringe to fill these. I've got syringes, glass bottle droppers, small and large size, small plastic bottles with blunted dropper end. I tried the condom method of filling - impressive but doesn't this method get it into the atty part of the carto? I feel like I do when I'm standing in a grocery looking at salad dressing - TOO MANY CHOICES - TOO MUCH INFO!! Geez louise, while waiting on my Virgin order I just went back to analogs to clear my darn head from trying to get all this down pat:facepalm: You guys are so helpful - wish I could buy one of you a ticket to come visit me long enough to show me first hand how to do all this right - Always thought of myself as fairly intelligent person - my husband has to ask me to set up all the components to our TV and get his computer to working right! SURELY I can learn to fill a stupid carto with the correct number of drops in the correct way so that it won't leak and I can get this vaping show on the road once and for all - been messing around with this since beginning of November:-x. Once again I turn to you oh wise vaping sages to tell me where I'm going wrong and give some advice about cartos and the different types:nun: Thanks in advance!

Stivk with it. U will be fine. The way I would fill up carts is to watch them. Three or four drops. Wait till it settles. Three or four more. Wait for it and just keep an eye on it. U will see when it won't take anymore. Another way to tell is watch the bottom. Sometimes u can see almost a drop comity out the bottom hole. And u know ur full. These may not be popular says but always worked for me. Good luck!

Sounds like you're filling them too fast and juice is going down the center tube..try adding a few drops then waiting for it to soak in..then add more let it soak..repeat until you get near where your carts recommend..then after you think they are full take a paper towel and blow it out into it with the threads on the towel until juice stops coming out. Also if they start to gurgle take the cart off and blow them out again. I haven't filled polly carts in awhile because I went to CE2 wick style carts so that's best I remember...

I use a syringe the first time on the boges because the filler is either wound tight, or has denser consistency than others.

Once filled I actually like the denseness of that filler.

Anyways, I use a syringe the first time by guiding needle down the side along steel and fill from bottom up and the doing the same to opposite side.

Once you get the filler wet and wicking well you can add the drops down the side and watch them soak in quickly on next refill.

I use the Resurrectors too from CCV and have always filled them by the drip method since their filler not so dense.

Pretty much it. You know rest of blowing juice from air channel if by chance yous get juice in there to clear it

Good luck :)

You can use your syringe to fill the Boges too. Probably the most sure fire method (at least it is for me).

Now, this is only needed for the first fill, after that you can drip 3 to 5 drops at a time, every so often, directly on to the filler to keep it wet. Get a drip tip....makes it easier than having to pry out that white button every time.

Load the syringe with just under 1 ml of juice. Say, around .8 of a ml.

Put one of the silicone boots about half way on the connector end of the carto to catch the excess juice. Slide the needle gently down the side of the carto between the filler and the metal. Push a few drops in. Pull the needle up slightly and push a few more drops in.

Do that in 3 different places around the carto edge til the syringe is empty.

Let the carto sit for 10 or 15 minutes and it should be good to go. You should be able to see all the way through the center tube. If not, gently blow from the connector end into a tissue to clear it of excess juice.

About 20 drops equals a ml of juice, give or take 2 drops.

ETA: LOL, looks like Serpent beat me to it.
