Hi I am not new to this site or to ecigs but I am trying to fight through again. I haven't been on here in a long time. I haven't had any money to buy new things to try so I got discouraged. I am still using analogs:( but have cut down to 1/2 pack a day, versus 1 1/2 packs a day. My ecig has been broken and when it did work it wasn't that great which is why I think I wasn't able to quit in the first place. Now I have a little money and I told my husband we got to get this right this time so I am here for moral support and advice. I want my husband and I to be in the group of successful people like you all:) I don't even know where to begin again and what to buy. I know there has to be new improved stuff. I used to have a tornado-t with vision cartomizers and it just wasn't that great to me. Also I can't have a lot of PG and neither can my husband. It makes us dizzy and sick. I was using 30 PG/ 70 VG and that works good with 24 mg nicotine, and sometimes 18 or so because it keeps you up at night on the 24 nicotine. Does Mrs. T use a ratio similar to 30/70 PG/VG? I know she won't say but I need to know if it is close so I can try it. I hear she is great and I need good juice. All the cheap stuff does not help me quit. Thank you for reading all of this and any and all advice is very welcomed. I need to come back to this site and read and share for support like I was doing last year. I really enjoy the people here. I just got upset about failing that I was embarassed to share how weak I am compared to the many here that have quit. I need help. I know there has to be better equipment and I think that will make a difference. I just can't afford a Provari. I am starting fresh with no juice, ecig, nothing and need to get the most affordable for my money.

I'm not sure where in TN you are, but check out this forum:

Tennessee Vapinteers

I know the middle TN people are getting active and recently had a great meet. in east TN we are working on a meet. go if you can, they are really helpful and you can see lots of different devices!

if it were me, I'd probably get an ego, but you will get lots of opinions here :) I would also get some unflavored liquid, it's great to have while you liquid search!

I smoked and vaped for a long time...I do better if I don't stress out about things

Thank you I tried Mt. Baker but didn't like their juice because it didn't have any throat hit. I know it is hard to get throat hit with VG but heard that Mrs. T can get the throat hit. I know it is expensive but it has to be cheaper than smoking. How much do the VV twist run approximately? Also the dual cart is that like a stardust? I am so out of the loop and trying to remember everything.

You'll get more TH with a VV device. My eGo Twist runs 3.2-4.8. My sweet spot is usually between 3.7-4.0, but depends on the juice. As far as price, you can get a great (great!) 900 mAh twist over at DiscountVapers - Your source for savings on electronic cigarettes and accessories, Go-go eGo, vGo with different clearos that are around $5-6 each. Eric has great customer service and is quick on the shipping. He's also very patient with my numerous questions! As for a higher VG juice, I'll let someone more experienced steer you toward something you may like. I'm a 50/50 girl myself!

I second the Discount Vaper suggestion. Eric has some very nice starter kits, too. And in addition to trying out the clearomizers mentioned, look into getting cartomizers too. They are good for getting your feet wet, so to speak. They also deliver a bit better flavor and TH in many people's opinion. If you find you like them you can graduate up to "carto tanks" (also called DCTs...but you don't "have" to use dual coils in them).

As for juice, I really can't help since I DIY my own. Good luck, and welcome back!

You didn't fail, your equipment failed you! You can do it. :)
I do like my eGo Twist 1100 mAh quite a bit. Also you may want to look into DIY so you can have the liquid that you want how you want it. After you get through all the stickies in that section of the forum, there are very knowledgeable members who answer all kinds of questions, post recipes, etc. Good luck whatever you decide!

DIY might be a bit overwhelming for a beginner who we don't want to discourage

Welcome back!! It's good to have you here.

You didn't fail, don't even think like that. Had you truly failed, you would not be coming back here to try again. You just have some bum equipment and now you have the opportunity to start all brand new and squeaky clean. My husband went back and forth between ecigs and regular butts before he quit - took him a good year to find something that worked for him. All it took was an ego twist and some really tasty vaping stuff, a month to get acclimated, and then that was it, he forgot to smoke.

Well me... I was a closet smoker. I used an ecig to get me through in between closet visits... But, once the cigarettes were gone from my house (when hubster quit), they were gone from my hand too! We're about to hit our 5 month marker a week from today!

Don't stress over high end gear. We have some decent equipment... A vmax, a vamo, a lavatube, a few bolts, etc. The funny thing is, I love my twist best. I now have two pink twists, two pink cones (that cover the ugly coils), a bunch of cute lanyards and some sweet drip tips. I have no need for anything bigger or better than that! My husband - who needed all the higher end variable voltage crap in the first place - now uses a 3.7 etched standard ego for the majority of the day. The same equipment we started with is what we seem to be sticking with :) Inexpensive, easy to use and easy to replace!

So, you got this! you might hit a few bumps in the road here and there but that's all they are... bumps! You go around it, through it, over it, under it, but most important, you get past it! You got this!!!

Thank you everyone for the wonderful advice. I am waiting patiently, not really, lol until Wednesday night when my tax money comes in to order some stuff. I am scared to DIY. I read awhile back that you can kill yourself if you don't know what you are doing. I haven't been on here since this afternoon been so busy but now ready to read, read, read and listen to what everyone is saying to do. I am looking at the VV but am confused on how to know what voltage to use. I never had one like that before. I am guessing it gives better throat hit or at least I hope so. My husband only cares about the flavor and clouds of smoke, I love flavor, clouds of smoke, and throat hit. I know the VG leaves little to no taste sort of like muted taste but we are allergic to high PG so does this help with that. Also does Ms T's bakery help with flavor. She is expensive but I am going to give her a try. I think part of my problem among having horrible equipment is cheap juice. Is it really necessary to pay a lot of money for good juice? I am willing to if I have to. I really need to quit the analogs and want to quit them. I saw the VV are $50-79. Do you think I could get everything needed to start for 2 people for $200 or do I need to spend more. I don't have much more than that right now but will spend up to $300 if I have to.

Welcome Back ShelleyF !
I would second the opinion that two eGo-c 1000mah, or Twists kits and some good Ejuice is the best way to start.
They are easy to fill, and use-easy to carry Day to Day and produce enough vapor to satisfy.
Get the juice you want...I do think Mt. Bakers juices are great and they can produce it the way you want.

Two weeks in, I also went DYI. It is not hard or dangerous if you are only working with 36mg nic in ml- all you are doing is cutting it in half or thirds...not hard, then add your flavoring. Yes- a beginner should stay far away from 100mg/ml nic....toxic, but 36mg-not hard.
You can save youselfs quite a bit (a Lot) with DYI...but, it's not everyones cup of tea....something to consider.

I think you are doing Great...you are researching and planing.
It's just a matter of good equipment and the right vape juice...and you two- will be smoke free !

We are all here rooting for Yous !

I think 200 bucks should get you where you need to be really easily!

I'd get a few twists, some clearos and maybe some cartos and some good juices. Have at least one spare battery, two preferably and definitely two chargers! In fact, when my husband decided he needed all the high end equipment he misplaced his charger for the ego. Now he's stressing me by using mine ALL THE TIME. Yes, divorce is imminent! Well not really but i'm pretty ...... at him about it.

I haven't tried Ms T's stuff yet, but I have tried Heather's Heavenly Vapes and I'm pretty impressed. Unfortunately, if you don't have someplace to run to (like a Brick and Mortar Shop) near you, you're really going to have to experiment. My shop's stuff is awesome with a really nice throat hit - they work with me on flavor/nicotine/TH so I can get it just right for me. When I buy online, it's hit or miss. But, so far, Heather's has really satisfied me when I'm in the mood for something a little different. Many of the online vendors WILL work with you though... put a little note in "I need more throat hit" or "PG Allergy, keep it light" or something like that. I know that some will go above and beyond to create that perfect vape for you!

I have read a lot last night and now I don't know what vendor to choose. I decided against Ms. T as I have read a bunch of people on here are not happy with her service, price and wait time. I really don't want to wait 2-3 weeks for the ejuice and I am looking for high customer service. I tried Heather's and while she does make great juice sometimes it was making me feel weird. I don't know what she puts in it but I can vape it for awhile and then after a few hours I can't. It is a shame because she is GREAT and the juices are tasty and her customer service is A+++++ but I can't take the feeling it gives me. Does anyone like EC Blends I think it is called. I know they are cheap and I don't mind cheap if it is good but am willing to pay more if I need to but don't want to waste money if I don't need to, lol if that makes sense. I tried Virgin Vapor and they are expensive but the juice made me feel drunk. I don't know why but it did. I did use the Vapor Room but you have to let the juice sit for several weeks on every flavor and I don't have time to do that. Also one of the reasons I am having trouble is because using 30 PG/ 70 VG the flavors are SO muted. I need some flavor. I had tried a friend's ecig that was able to quit analogs using one. They had a high PG and I could taste the flavor but it makes me sick with too much PG. I was thinking if I could get the flavor too I would enjoy it and quit too. Is that possible to get flavor with a high VG? Sorry for all the questions I really want to do this and not fail this time. It is a huge desire of me and my husband's. I am going to go with the VV and saw that they are cheaper than I thought. I was thinking $50 and up but then I saw them for $21-25 I believe and am getting 2 of them for me and 2 for my husband to start with. I want a ton of juice that way if I find a vendor that I need to steep their juice for awhile I will have time to.

That is good to know about DIY. I thought everyone was taking a huge chance every time they tried it. I am not ready for that yet but it would be a great idea to to it to have it stocked for a cheap price. I will look into it after I get settled in and see what I am doing right now. I know I am going for the VV, the juice is the hardest part. I don't want the flavor to be muted. That is a huge let-down and is there a way for that not to be like that since I have to have around 30 PG/ 70 VG? I tried 50/50 and it made me sick. I haven't tried 40 PG/ 60 VG as I am scared too. I hate the sickness it gives me when I have too much PG.

You're going to need these things:

1. 2 Batteries (e.g. ego twist)
2. Cartomizers to go atop the battery
3. Chargers for the battery
4. E-liquid. Order a few different flavors that sound good to you

You don't need a kit. It's usually cheaper to get the stuff separately
Fixed. Always have backups! :)
Welcome back, ShellyF! As others have said, you didn't fail. Regarding the nausea/dizziness, are you sure you weren't getting too much nicotine? When I started, I did the opposite. I had 24 mg for first thing in the morning (a kick start,) and the rest of the day I used 18mg. I hear nausea/dizziness is a symptom of too much nic.

I am definitely going to get 2 batteries for my husband 2 for me:) I tried that route before when we only had 1 and it was awful waiting for the replacement to come in. It is not only the nausea/dizziness but rashes all over within minutes. I can tolerate 30% PG but I think that might be all. I need to figure out something as I don't want muted flavors. Also the mg was 24 but happened with the 12 mg too. I hate the 12 mg as it tastes strange for some reason. I tried the 18 mg but it wasn't enough to keep me from craving but at night it helped me be able to go asleep. The 24 mg gave me insomnia at night, lol I am a mess but I have come to the right place:) Everyone here is so nice and very helpful. I can't wait until tomorrow morning to order my stuff:) The bank said it will be deposited at midnight, so happy.
