So lately I've been looking around for a device that's right for me. I'm a builder and a cloud chaser, I love to get down and dirty with sub-ohms and high watts. Recently, I purchased the Plume Veil RDA and I want to be able to build coils as low as 0.2 and higher. Yet, I also want a device to take me up to at least 30W. My question is what should I get, following the specifications I desire? I want an APV or mod, preferably 18650. It needs to go up to at least 30W and have a res minimum of at most 0.2 ohms. Plus, and this is the problem, it needs to be variable WATTAGE. Any clue on what I should get? I have been looking at the sigelei 100W box mod, but there are so many cons with it for us rebuilders. Also, the sigelei 30W VW is perfect except it only goes down to 0.5ohms and thats not nearly enough for me. Let me know!

30 watt devices usually max out at 0.5ohms. Also, we need to know your budget? Not to mention the DNA40 just came out, and is significantly different than anything on the market. They go on sale today from different manufactures, and will most likely sell out today. Do yourself a favor and check it out Pbusardo has vid up on it.

I play around with a lot of different coils, never having one in for more than a few good clouds unless it works well and I'm tired from tinkering. So, I don't have a lot of time or patience to sit there and figure out which voltage i should set it to for my preferences. SO, variable wattage takes care of it for me, I can just quickly pick how powerful I want my vape to be and it'll change the voltage for me depending on whatever build I have in it. I'll go ahead and check out the specs for the ipv2. Now, mI would prefer to stay under $120, which is why the DNA chip devices have never really interested me... Considering the Hana Modz only go down to .3 ohms and as far as 30W and are almost $300 is just ridiculous to me. But, I guess you always get what you pay for.

The new DNA40 goes down to 0.1ohms with "pure" nickel, and I believe 0.2 or 0.3 with kanthal, or nichrome. It also has temperature regulation when using nickel wire. This means no more burning juice, gunked up coils, or burning wicks i.e. significantly safer at high watts. Some Beta testers are reporting cotton wicks that last weeks. Expect lowest prices to be around $200. I am not trying to push this I just don't want you to kick yourself in the ..... The new board fixes almost all complaints and adds new features.

Again look into an IPV 2. Will easily do the 30W you're after within your budget. And I would suggest looking into trying some higher ohm builds when ya feel like tinkering. Especially using a variable wattage device. Higher ohms will give you more voltage and lower amps( theoretically) making your time between charges longer.

I was asking because there's no need to go low resistance with (most) regulated mods. I'm fact, most work better above the sub ohm level, and you can still hit high wattages. Now, if you want to play around with coil builds that's different, but you don't need 0.2 ohms to reach 100w (and certainly not for 30w).
