I've been in the same boat as the OP. And like him, I was thinking more of cost than quality. I got the lavatube 3 months ago and it worked ok, just ok. However, if you want to vape at the higher voltages using a SR boge carto, it feels lacking in power. Also, my lavatube died on me 2 weeks ago. The power shuts off after 2-3 seconds of vaping. I can't say I'm surprised since it's a Chinese, mass prduced e-cig. I'm now looking into investing in a quality mod like a Provari or Precise Plus Kicked. They're both on back orders and there's a reason. People want quality.
My advice to the OP, save a bit more for a week or two and get a Buzz Pro. The Lavatube is marketed as a "middle of the pack" product. However IMHO, it's actually a budget product that should be priced UNDER $50.00. Hindsight is 20/20 and if I had just bought a Provari in the beginning, I would have saved at minimum $200 on devices and accessories.
