need help choosing, Tesla or Provari?

Ok so I was all set to order a Tesla, with the help and advice of the good people on this forum I thought I had all the information I needed to buy the Tesla some good batteries and a charger and a pro tank. I have recently found out about the Provari and like that it comes with a 1 year warranty with the option of buying a second year. My question is the Provari that much better than the Tesla? I really like the way the Tesla looks and have read great things about both devices, is there a pros and cons list for both of these devices? They both seem to have similar features unless I am missing something. I am new to this and have never had a vv or vw device, all I have had are Blu (they sucked), some kind of eGo that looks like a starship (it was good when it wasn't leaking) and Halo Triton (that thing is awesome!). Thank you in advance for your help. The people on here really are awesome and very helpfull!

I have never used the Tesla, but I have seen and held one. Its very big and pretty heavy, I mean the provari isn't light or anything, but the tesla sure was heavy even without the battery.

Looks are to each their own, but I personally like the provari design better. I believe it fits will in the pocket in 500 or 650 mode (I have the full size), and is easy to grasp and use the single button menu while on the go.

Just my :2c:

OH, and I've dropped the blasted thing about 500 times and its still pretty and working.

jumping into the deep end with both feet! Alright.

The Provari is American Made and does offer great Warranty. But's it's expensive.

The Tesla is a great upgrade from the fantastic Halo Triton (I own one), since it has Variable voltage and variable Wattage. It costs more than a VAMO, but also has a unique design, and does come with a 30 day warranty. If you're just wanting to step into VV, Halo now offers a Triton Twist Battery. If you want to get into the bigger mods, then start with an itaste MVP, Vamo or Tesla.

Unless you have hundreds of dollars to spend, best to see what works best for you.

Just to give you some perspective (from my experience) I started out with an ego twist cause for some reason vv vw is the best.... still thinking that i wanted a device that used normal batteries and moved up to the VAMO. since then i have been more interested in Mech Mods and RBAs (which i don't suggest for beginners even though their is now a mini RBA for the EGO) The Vamo can be purchased for about $40 with a battery and charger easily. That is my Suggestion for a new vapers APV.

As far as the two devices you talked about personally i dont think i will ever buy a provari maybe a mini if i really wanted one but a vamo in 18350 configuration with a tank is what i use for a day at work I do bring an extra battery just in case though it normally stays in my car. Anyway both devices do the same thing the tesla has odd button placement and is Chinese (may not work forever may be doa anything) the provari is just more likely to be a better device but it costs more.

Anyway all batteries will preform pretty much the same you need to find out what kind of attomizer you want and then the good vaping starts.

Personally a cartomizer on an ego makes a good vape. I am getting off subject as you want to know what battery to buy IMO just buy what you can afford if you have a lot of disposable income go for whatever you want. IMO with all the juices to try and stuff like that new vapers can easily spend much more than they anticipated i tend to spend almost twice as much as i said i would every time i buy stuff.

My 2 cents:
Tesla has aluminum threads Provari does not.

Considering the entire body of the Tesla is aluminum alloy, it stands to reason that the threads would be aluminum.

My thoughts: There are many people out there that own the Provari... most seem to love them. They do use a high quality chip that provides a steadier voltage to the coil. They are very sturdy. They have a great warranty, but are somewhat expensive. They don't do variable wattage, and have a one-button user interface.

The Tesla is a unique design, only comes with a 30 day warranty, but is less than half of the price of a Provari. It does have a standard Chinese chip with the "rattlesnake" pulse. It does variable wattage (not a huge difference to me, I use it in VV mode) It's menu system is easy to work, because it has a + and a - button plus a fire button.

They are both very solid mods, it just comes down to what is important to you.

rounding third and heading home...
look, I have to say it- look at a sigelei zmax v3 telescope. works with any battery ,looks great(brushed stainless flattop) and only runs about$69(kit $75). I mean you have to ask why you are vaping in the first place? quit analogs, sure, but are you eventually weaning yourself off nicotine for good and walking away or are you using vaping as a long term crutch. I can't see spending so much money for the provari or others like it. it seems you are trading one expensive long term habit for another, always chasing the next newest, coolest device. as far as equipment, I find this forum is just like audiophile forums, everyone(yes, I am guilty too) has a different and better opinion. figure out what you want out of vaping and get what makes you comfortable- there is no right or wrong.

If you only have two choices, then ok this is a very easy decision. If you like variable power, get the Tesla. If you don't know what variable power is, get the Tesla. If you primarily use evod/Kanger products, get the Tesla. If you have $100 or less to spend, get the Tesla. If you are new and using ego type batts, get the Tesla.

If you want rock solid quality and reliability, get the provari. If you want to find out what all the hype is about, get the Provari.

There are other choices out there in your price range. Consider the eVic, the several Sigelei's, a couple of the Innokin mods, etc.

Personally, I don't think you can beat the Sigelei V3. But that's me. You'll find that the Journey is at least half the fun of vaping. Good luck to you!

The Provari Mini does not take a 18650 without a third party extension cap like the twins:
Twins (Telescope extension for ProVari) - 405 Vaperz

If you can get your hands on one of course. Tatroe Ring Provari this ring is great quality and less than half the price of the twins. You do need the provape extender cap if you want to rock the mini in 650. image.jpg
