Hey guys!
Im buying my first mod tomorrow! Heres a little background on my vaping experience. I started two months ago i did a fair amount of research and ended up with a eGo-T LR which instantly got me off cigs and has now found a place in my work day because of the long lasting battery and it gives me that fix i need wile i'm at work. Soon after i decided on dripping wile i'm at home because i really want that flavour that seems to lack from the eGo-T at least for me, now i want to take it up a lvl and i have picked out a bottom juice fed box mod and i only have one more thing to figure out!

The mod i am going to get is the Ali'i and the mod will be strictly be used with a 510 LR atty ( inless you guys have another suggestion ). What i want out of this mod is Flavour and Consistency. Now for the question. Id like to go with the 3.7/6v rather then the VV because the 3.7 volt battery's are easily assessable to me and a lot cheaper. What is the top voltage i should use on a 510 LR atty for optimal flavour and to a point it wont effect the life of the atty more then needed. I hear 6v is to high and 3.7 isn't optimal, ware have you found the "sweet spot" to be? thx for your help

Cheers,
Justin.

Flavor tends to get diminished at higher wattage. Watts = volts*volts/ohms. I like around 6-8 watts. Others like 10 watts. Late at night before bed I prefer about 3 watts. So the point is there is no one single sweet spot...it is subjective and can vary for the person, let alone between different people. For optimum flavor I do not prefer Joye LR 510 attys. I like Boge cartomizers. For more flavor 3.0 ohm, for more vapor and heat 2.4 ohm. You might also try CE2 cartos at 3.2 ohm. These are more finicky than regular cartos, but IMHO they are top for flavor, and they can vape as hard at 3.2 ohms as even LR cartos.

For the voltage, it seems most people with VV devices tend to gravitate to about 4.2 V. With an LR atty, you should not go above 3.7V. Higher than that and attys are popping a lot quicker. Cartos are much cheaper, and I like a 2.4 ohm Boge with 5V occasionally. Seems to do fine.

Sounds like you have a plan that is well thought out for what you want. I say go for it. Fact: it will have both pros and cons. Its a learning experience. There is a tendency when starting out to get the perfect PV and atty/carto that will be the best possible vape at all times right away. This does not exist! Chances are you will get this mod, like it a lot, find out its limitations, and get another mod down the line. You will find that sometimes HV is great, and sometimes its too much. You will find that some juices have flavor that does great at high wattage, and some that do not. Like most technology, research as much as you can, make the choice based on your knowledge and experience level, get the PV and enjoy it, and find out what you didn't know you didn't know. The nice thing is today there are so many variables for attys/cartos/tanks/etc, that you should be able to tailor things to your wishes for not a lot of money.

Good luck!
