I'm a long time smoker, 30+ years, 2 pack a day. Smoking ultra-lights but reaching for one contantly.
I'm really excited and eager to get started vaping. Finally something that I think will work.

Naturally I want this to be as hassle free and as close to analog as possible. I saw a guy dipping on youtube and that looked pretty cool for when I needed a fix "now", and seemed to accomadate more juice than dripping as well as easier on the atty. But I understand some models (carts ?) are better for this than others.

I've spent a lot of time here and read 100's of post trying to narrow down my initial starter kit.
I've got it down to these:

Modern Vapor 902
Modern Vapor Sidesho -- seems the 902 is newer and a bit better.
EVO Intellicig Classic (because longer battery life than the black)
But the black looks so much nicer. Just concerned about battery.

I'm ready to order and am leaning toward the 902 but I think any of these would probably be a good choice but before I order I would welcome and really appreciate any comments from "the experts" on these or a similar model I may have missed. The Joye 510 also seems to be popular and less expensive but it seems the above models may be improved versions of that style.

Thanks

Are you a Mac or a PC?

By which I mean: Would you like an e-cig that is compatable with many others and with virtually all mods (the PC in my metaphor) ... or an e-cig that may be very good but is compatible only with itself (i.e., a Mac)?

Modern Vapor's products are the Mac in my analogy. Their 902 and Sidesho are similar to, but incompatible with the DSE901 and M401, respectively. I'm pretty sure that the Intellicig EVO is an M401 and compatible with other M4xx models (the shorter M402 and M403).

The PCs in vaping today are the DSE801, DSE901, and Joye510. With adapters, they can work with each other, with Kr8 cartomizers and batteries, and with all mods. For example, at the moment, I am alternating between an 801 atomizer and a 510 atomizer (with respective adapters) on my Kr8 USB Passthrough, on which I also use Kr8 and GreenCig cartomizers. I love the flexibility, but then I'm using a PC to compose and post this message and I've never owned a Mac.*

* [FYI: I used to own an Apple IIe and I think that the iPod and iPhone tie for second place as the great electronic innovations of the past decade. Guess what I think is the #1 greatest.;)]

I urge you to take a good hard look at the Joye510, e.g., here and here ... and in that 510 Guide referenced in my signature.

NOTE:
  1. I don't know what you you are referring to when you say: "the black."
  2. According to Modern Vapor's website, the 902 is an "improved version" of the DSE901 and the Sidesho is an "improved version" of the M401. Neither has anything to do with the Joye510.
