Need help finding a mod for my husband

Hello all. I'm new to this forum, though I've gotten good advice from it before. I actually don't vape but my husband started about a year ago and I've been learning in order to supper him in it and to know what to get him for gifts. He started on Blue ecigs, went quickly to egos and then the vision spinners. I got him some juice and bdc aspire tanks a couple months back, which he loves, but he doesn't love the vision spinner 2 he just got (doesn't last as long as he'd like). I wanted to get him a nice, long lasting mod for Christmas but I'm stuck. My brother recommended the Vamo v2, v5, or v6 but I'm just not sure about it or where to buy it to make sure it's legit. I don't have a ton of money for it and need to keep it under $50 or preferably less. I also have to get it in time for Christmas of course. Thank you so much for any advice you can offer.

those lil aspire bdc's do rock..those were my guy's first tank too, he still uses 'em for lesser used juices.

the best eGo style battery we've found is the Aspire CF vv ...a Vamo would do the trick but it's a swap battery type mod, as well as he'll need a 510 adapter for that tank.

the iStick turned all the way down (and comes with 510 adapter) works with those tanks but they got a burning taste and went through coils really fast. keep it turned down (with a 2.0 coil) and it'll do the best, run all day on a charge, no batteries to swap out..plug your cell phone charger into it...until he can get an Aspire Nautilus/mini nautuls (or my preference Kanger V2) tanks to go with it.

where? the folks here could tell you better..we've got a couple vendors we use on ebay..I follow the prices.

you're sweet to do that for him...good luck.

Here is one on eBay ($64.99 and free shipping) that has it in the States (not shipped from China). It is USB charged and the battery is replaceable. It has a DNA30 chip.

Cloupor 30 Watt Box Mod Clone in Hand Ready to SHIP | eBay

The seller has a 99.9% approval. I think he buys in bulk from China and sells them. The Clouper has a good reputation. Check on ECF about the Clouper. Still need an 18650 battery, but it can be charged overnight. I really think he will be pleased.

Hope helps

Fasttech has the Authentic SVD for about 37$, Ive had mine for over a year and have abused it and its still going strong. I did have 2 Vamo3's but both died due to falls from 3' ( fell out of pocket and the other from the counter).... I just ordered another SVD a few days ago... the wife stole mine :)

Good for you for helping the Hubby.

I'll put another vote in for the iStick. I've used MVP 2.0's for 6 months and just got the iStick and LOVE it. Small, powerful when you need it AND LONG lasting battery. Mt Baker Vapors price is very good AND they are SUPER Quick Delivery and TOP NOTCH Reliability & Customer Service!!

Another vote for the Eleaf Istick. Awesome tiny, long lasting powerful $30 mod. That's coming from someone who has two mvp2's. He won't be disappointed. I got mine at nwvape.com. They sell from that address and on ebay with free shipping.

Edit: I should add it is over powered but if you start at the lowest setting and go up in small increments by taste he will be perfectly happy and thrilled with it.

Granted Phil Busardo did "technically" give the iStick a "Thumbs Down", but ONLY because it uses "older", but quite good technology. Other than that, he REALLY liked it. All I can tell you is that I've used a LOT of different NEW technology items, and the iStick is a good as any of them. The MAIN thing is it's reliable, gives a GREAT vape, has a FANTASTIC price for what you get, and now has become my all Day Vape Machine! Here's another VERY experienced Vape reviewer that feels the same:

For the money the istick is hard to beat. Screw in the included adapter or get the bending adapter to save the connection threads. I have 2 and the 510 threads stripped on one neither came with anything more than the mod and charge adapter when I got them. Battery life is awesome even at max wattage and their small and easy to carry around. The MVP2 is fine too and has good battery life just a little more bulky. I'm using my MVP until the rest of my parts to fix my istick comes in. Both can be found at reasonable prices online.

All 3 mods can be found in the $30 range, but there are some major differences between the 3 mods recommended in this thread.

itaste vv3
-small stick mod
-eGo threaded
-800 mah battery
-6-11 watts

mpv2
-box mod 4.21"L x 1.61"W x 0.86
-eGo threaded
-2600 mah battery
-6-11 watts

iStick
-box mod, 75mm x 21mm x 32.8mm
-2200 mah battery
-510 threaded
-up to 20W

I have had all 3 of these mods. The iTaste vv3 only had a tiny little battery, so battery life is horrible. It's best suited for an ego threaded topper, You can attach a larger 510 threaded atty, but the mod is going to be top heavy. There are better mods that can be found for this price.

The mvp2 has the best battery life of all 3 mod's. It's best suited for ego threaded attys. You can attach a 510 threaded atty, but it's going to be top heavy. Many people to include myself find the fire button placement awkward. I bought one during the summer when the petals version was released because I really liked the way it looked. I was so unhappy with this mod I sold it less than a month later. This is an older model mod that is soon to be replaced by the mvp3.

Since the iStick had 510 threaded, the larger 510 attys fit on this quite nicely. There is an optional ego adapter if want to use an ego threaded atty. I use single coil RBA's on this mod. I love the small size. Very pocket and purse friendly. For many people the battery will last all day.

Another vote for the iStick. Great little mod there.

I also really like the eGrip, but it is a little outside your price range. It does have the advantage of being self contained (everything built in) and very small (compared to pack of cigarettes it is thinner and slightly taller). Since it is fully self contained you don't have to buy tanks for it. I bought one because it is very easy to carry around and you don't have to worry about the connection to your tank.
