Any recommendations for a coil build that gives warmish to cool vape with tons of flavor? preferably single coil not duel... building on an eleaf lemo?

Well, either you find your build is too cold or too hot; I guess it's too hot;
I see later you say you are using a dna30, so I guess to get a cooler vape you just need to turn the power down.

But maybe you already tried that and can't go any lower.

Maybe you could mention what build you do have.

A simple 28 gauge kanthal 1 ohm single coil should work 10 to 15 watts.

I've got a 30 gauge 2.6 ohm running at 10 watts at the moment.

I'd recommend a 1 to 2 Ohm coil with 30g wire.
DNA30 will give you all you need to perfect your vape (dial in sweet spot).
Wrap the wire on a 2 to 2.5mm bit or whatever, about 9 to 10 wraps, closely spaced.
Whether you compress to make contact coil or not, a cotton wick, at about 1.6 ohms, and start around 10 watts and work up.

If you are using thicker wire, like 26g, the cool down time is longer and juice/wick can tend to burn.
Thinner wire will be cooler, and the DNA will allow you to raise your watts/volts to whatever you need.

Generally, you can get a hotter vape by raising the coil higher above the airflow opening and closer to your mouthpiece. Mounting it closer to the airway and farther away from the mouthpiece will give you a cooler vape. Of course, too low and you block airflow, and too high gets you some pretty hot legs. Your power setting will affect it, too, as others have mentioned.

The thing about building your own coil is that a lot of little things affect the vapor you get in different ways. If you want to be able to really dial it in exactly how you want it to be, try experimenting a little to figure out how changing one aspect of it changes the vape. Once you understand it, you can build based on exactly what you want coming out the other end. Have some fun with it.

My favorite Lemo build is 28 gauge, 3/32" ID, 7 wraps for 1.4 ohms. I've done duals, big parallel and you name it. I keep coming back to that one as it gives great flavor and I can chain vape it.

Agree here.

28 gauge on a 2.11mm for me. I've only tried it on an MVP2, so I cannot comment on higher power builds. Check out steam engine calculators, you can vary the watts to the coil you wish to build to give you an estimate of heat.

I run my Lemos on iSticks at 4.8 volts on a 1.3ohm build. Wonderful flavor and cloud production with a nice cool vape. I run 100% VG juice, Koh Gen Do Cotton and 12mg nic.

I wrap 6 wraps with 28ga kanthal.

I've found that the Lemo produces better flavor (for me, anyway) when I build standard coils instead of coils with the wraps touching. I'm vaping a 20pg/80vg dessert flavor right now on a 1ohm coil and it's incredibly flavorful. Warm but not hot and plenty of vapor. Air flow is wide open. I think I used 7 wraps (can't remember exactly but you can check steam engine for the correct wraps) and it was definitely 28g kanthal on a 3/32 drill bit. As long as I build from 1 ohm to 1.3 ohm I feel like I'm getting the most flavor I can get from my Lemos. I've tried sub-ohming and builds above 1.5 ohms and I didn't get the flavor I do from the 1-1.3 range. Obviously, the sub-ohm builds improve cloud production. Japanese cotton or Rayon Cellucotton.

As others have said, much of your control will/should come from your regulated device. Find the sweet spot for whatever build you throw on there. I'll probably get flamed for it but you might check out Rip Tripper's Lemo review/build for a good suggestion on a flavorful build. He's definitely a flavor junkie and he shows you precisely how to build a similar coil to the ones that have been working for me.

I use 29ga, 7/64, 1.8 ohms, in my kayfuns. I lift the coil fairly high when I mount it, because I do like TH, but the vape from this coil is warm, but not hot at all; too hot gives me an asthma attack. I also don't compress it very tightly; just enough to make sure it's all uniform and that it fires as it should, from middle outwards, but keeping just a smidge of space between the wraps also helps to keep the heat down, and distribute it more across the wick, so the flavor is excellent.

Wick, either organic cotton or rayon; it really depends on my mood, the way the wind is blowing, and whether I'm using a full-size kayfun tank or my nano tank; the nano only works with rayon, with cotton that nano has never given me anything but burnt taste. With the full tank, either works very well.

I'm vaping it at 12.4W.

I have had the Lemo up to 40W with some of the builds I've put in there. This thing never dry hits, lol! Its vaped everything I've tried. But, I'm a person who smoked 35 years and the more intense builds just aren't for me. I do have an Orchid and Biillow now, both built to 0.4 ohms, and I'm going to rebuild them to 0.6ohms I think. I can only hit them 3-4 times before I have to set them down.
