NEED HELP! how to install a hybrid connector to Caravela. Cheers!

Hi folks, I've been absent from the sites for a good while, but I'm still in the game! Just received a hybrid connector kit from rampagevapor.com and need advice on how to install it on my 18350 Caravela. The threading is fine, but when the delrin "dummy" piece is inserted, there is zero room left for the hybrid connector to thread in. Do I need to sand down the Delrin "dummy" piece? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Happy New Year 2014!!!

leave it out.....its only there to fill the gap if the tubes too big. suppose to go on the bottom too

I am here for the "how to" as well ... thinking about getting a hybrid, but I need my Caravela to get here first (in transit).

you just screw on the metal disk, tighten the lockscrew and try to screw on the insulator if you cant just lay it in top of the battery
as long as the 510 screw sticks out a little everything is good, the battery spacer is used on the bottom button in case the button is too short.

I actually ended up sanding the dummy delrin piece to about a third of its original thickness,and had to cut the smallest brass Caravela screw even smaller and thread it into the dummy disc, and it's perfect now. However, I find that a fresh battery with a full charge isoftentoo much,and I hotspots briefly. I am about towpath the video. Thanks everyone

Oh wow, I have the white delrin on TOP of the battery!!! Works a charm though
