Need help. I think my subox is broken!

Hey vapers!
I bought a subox mini a month ago. Was using the ego V3 or something which was awful. Love the subox mini so far. Its been working great... up untill yesterday.
I was at work i had a 1.2 coil in with "dabble dooyah" ejuice. I liked that juice with the .5 coil. But it started to taste really bad with a 1.2 coil.( I should mention that i bought the occ coils seprately from canvape.) So i changed the juice to a chocolate mint which was much better. After a few hours i took a hit. It was burnt. So i took it apart cleaned it primed my coil again and same thing. Burnt. I thought its the coil. I changed the coil to a .5 occ primed coil well and cleaned again and filled tank and took a few dry hits. Fired it a few times to let the coils warm up and then hit. Again burnt taste. I repeated the steps above. Changing the coils atleast 3 times thinking i was doing something wrong. After 3 brand new coils i relized it has to be something with the unit. Any idea what could be causing this all of a sudden? And how a person can fix this? Can it be my tank? Also this happens with any flavour juice i put in.

Bump your wattage down and work your way back up. Not all juices need the same power.

My watts are always set on 17 and i have had no issue vaping any of the juices i have in 17 before.

I'd still suggest bumping it to 10, and increasing it every few hits. Once you get the burnt taste, back it down a notch.

Ditto, new coils need to be broken in, start low and then bump it up. Also if you are using a higher vg juice then it may not be wicking properly. You can thin your juice with 2 or 3 drops of distilled water. I had that happen with 4 brand new coils of the 1.2 and it seemed like the whole box of coils was just bad. Coils burnt even at 8 watts, you could of gotten a bad batch of coils, try the rba section that came with your mini, I have had no burning problems with it building at .03 ohms and 30 watts.

Yeah i dunno. Ill just try buying a new tank. My biddy just tried mine with his tip and he said it doesnt taste burnt so maybe its just me lol

when you changed coils, did you clean the tank? if somehow the burnt juice taste has taken up residence in your airflow, that *might* contribute

are all of the coils you are using the vertical coils?

Sounds like the coils are toasted. Have you tried the RBA section yet?>
search youtube pbusardo subox mini review and go 44minutes in and watch his wicking technique.
the rba vastly outperforms the occ coils.

If the Ohms on the Mod Match the Ohms of what you are Using, I'm not sure what is Going on?

I did have the rba but i broke it lol i need to gwt a new one. I have a dropper that i use it seems to be ok in that

Lol i thought i was smarter then the coil. Lol tryed to wick it without youtubing or knowing at all what i was doing tried to shove way too much cotton in and when i pulled it out the other side i ripped the piece that the coil sits on right off. Screws and all.
Lol so i lowered it all the way down. And gradually increased. Im getting less of a burnt taste now but still getting that throat hit i hate so much. And it seems like the flavour isnt what it should be. I tried a flavour in my buddys and it was great. Put it in mine and didnt taste the same. He has the exact same set up as me.

Try doing a thorough cleaning on your tank and replace all of your o rings and see if that helps. It sounds like you have some burnt gunk somewhere in the tank. Make sure you clean the airflow ring good as juice can hide in there.

That is what i did last night. Its much better now. Still getting a bit of a throat hit but the burnt taste is gone and flavour is back. Thanks for all the help guys!
