Need Help - Juice or Setup - Getting Frustrated... :-/

Hello…. I am getting kind of frustrated with my vaping because I am coming to a wall with the juice or my tanks - not sure which it is. I am just not fulfilled. I still have a few juices I like - Breakfast in France by Diamond Vapor but I want more juices.

Ihave recently upgraded from an Ego-T to Vision Spinner to hold me over until Iupgrade to a mod. I have been vaping for over a month now and have found myselfenjoying the forums and reading the information out there which can getconfusing because of the many opinions out there which I guess leads me towhere I am today… My favorite thing about vaping is the flavors and tend tolike to switch out a lot.

Mycurrent setup beside my above battery is KangerTech TS3 (which the 1 of the 4tops have broken on me and one is almost there). I also have 3 polypropylenetanks (the ones with the grommets and cartomizers that you put togetheryourself).

Ihave purchased juices from a local brick/mortar which found out that wasgetting their juice from overseas so I understand why that wasn’t qualityjuice. Purchased some from ECBlend –Which some were okay but even with seeping after 2 weeks, still not gettinggreat flavor with the Dragon’s Dream (orange) and not really excited about theBanana Nut Bread. Another vendors Blueberry Cheesecake I bought, I wasn’t happywith however when I mixed the two separate flavors on my own, I was happy (fromthe overseas vendor). Seems like what I think I just realized is maybe I justlike to get the basic flavors and mix my own.

Sooooo…I guess my question is two fold….

1. Beingthat I like to switch flavors a lot I either
a. liketo have several tank/clearmizers options that I can replace thecartomizer/wick
b. recommendsomething that will handle a switch without holding the flavor
2. Juicevendor recommendations that I could play around with my flavors? Would thismake sense?

Thankyou for your input! I really appreciate it! Hopefully I have given enough infofor help. J

Mt. Baker Vapors is a great source for liquids. Try the Moo Juice.

Mister E-Liquid is another great one. Try the Jamocha Haze.

For easy to use, no fuss tanks, I really like the Evod. A flavor switch can be quickly accomplished by rinsing out the tank, washing the coil head (or replacing it if the old flavor is really big) and filling with the new flavor.

Get a handful of Evods, a few blister packs of coil heads, and you'll be set!

IBCR is spot on with his Evod suggestion.

For Juices, it sounds like you like fruits/desserts.

Ahlusion has some good ones, a girl I used to date loved MOV fruits, and they have a good deal for 3-15 ml bottles for 24.99 right now.

This link is to the fruits page. She liked strawberry breeze and blue drop. She dated me so she has questionable tastes, so take it with a grain of salt.

I agree with the evods and the protank2. I have both and both wash out nicely. I also have an Aro (pryex like the protank, but has a steel shell). My fave is pyrex. The flavor seems soooo much better. I get the majority of my flavors from a local guy that mixes them and sells his at a local b&m and has his own online - Pure Vapes. I also like Vaporgod. Both vendors have a mix your own flavor.

I like the Aro, too. I have six Evods, two ProTanks, two Aros, two MTS3's and a beastly Kamry X10.

Can y'all tell that I like bottom coil clearos? I don't think there is a better system when considering benefit/cost (the latter of which includes fiddling, which I will NOT do, which steers me away from cartotanks and rebuildable atomizers).

Everyone's mileage varies here though. You might find that a good quality cartotank system hits the sweet spot better.

Awesome suggestions so far - thank you so much! Yes, pretty much a sweets flavor juice girl from what I have found so far! I have seen a lot about this Mt Baker Vapors... and will look at all the other suggestions too.

For the washing - literally just water is okay? Does the wick have to get good and dry before you to go reuse it? Or good to use a new one while it dries? I may break for the Kanger Protank but also grab a couple Evods too... we shall see.

This is great - feeling a little better... Glad I posted!

I feel like I'm plugging my own thread from time to time ;) Hopefully others don't feel that way. But if you want to experiment around with flavors I've put together a list of vendors and give description, price per ml, etc. Note I haven't tried all of the sites as I eventually found what I like but think I will be going back to try something else on that list next time I start to run low. I'm pretty stocked at the moment.

You're going to pay more than if you were to by 30 or 60 ml bottles but you'll get a larger variety of flavors and vendors until you find one you like.

Q1 I'll let others answer that as I'm no expertise and actually looking for a good clearomizer for my ego myself that will last more than a week or 2.

I too like the bottom coil clearos from what I have found BUT then again - I am here asking but would prefer this type of system... lol so glad you said that!!! :) I bought the cartotank because they said it would give good flavor - haven't really found it so...

Where washing is concerned, I think it depends on what kind of juice you have. I've noticed cherry is tough to kill, so I wash in hot water, then soak in alcohol, let that dry. Anything not too strong I simply wash in hot water and reload, if it's a bottom coil. Top coils (I use less and less) I let dry completely. Not everyone does, though.

I'm into creamy flavors like orange cream and creamy mints. Mints I soak in alcohol.

I'm glad you posted, too! I learn SO much from other people's questions.:)

First of all, maybe up your nic levels? You might not be getting enough to satisfy your cravings.

Maybe it's not about flavor for you? I'm that way, as long as it isn't gross, it's not at all about flavor for me, it's about how the juice feels on my throat. I like a strong hit that stings a little bit. The throat hit is absolutely crucial to me. No matter what nic level the juice is at, if it doesn't hit my throat right, it doesn't work for me. I can be pushing the limits of an over dose, and still feel unfulfilled if I don't get that throat hit. That's why I vape heavily PG dominant liquids. It's also why I'm back up to 12mg...I've been as low as 3, but I can't sustain it without the TH. I've found Dragon's Blood from ECblends, the very best juice all around, in terms of flavor and throat hit (nothing I've found hits like this juice, it's awesome). No other juice from the Dragon's series works for me, and I've tried most of them.

Then again, a word about flavor. Your taste buds might still be off. You've been at it for a month, but it takes time for your body to repair itself. Also, depending on the delivery device, some juices can come through quite muted. Some vendors allow you to add extra flavor to your juice. Try that. In fact, ECblends is absolutely great about customization (plus they're cheap), though I will admit that their processing times have really been annoying me lately.

As for any sort of delivery device you can get that won't hold the old flavor....that's not really a thing. Any coil will hold your old flavor for a while. How much, will depends on the juice. I think your best bet would be to get several tanks and use them, and also get a bunch of replacement heating devices (cartos or coils). Getting the flavor out of the tank itself isn't a real problem. It's the coil or carto that holds on. With cartos, chuck them. But coils can be cleaned (quite well actually. I'm still using some of my original coils!)

I actually really like the Evod and MT3 with the replaceable coils (it's more or less the same product...the tops are a different color and the flange on the coils is slightly different). I love the bottom coils. The vape is a bit cooler, but the flavor is awesome, and you don't have to be as concerned that your wicks are saturated. Unless you're running really low, they saturate just fine.

Now, you really have to understand that these, and what you've been using, are more or less throw away products. They're cheap, really cheap, and work well, but they don't last forever. If you want something really high quality that will last a long time, it's going to cost you. In that case, I recommend some sort of pyrex coil or carto tank (I'll always recommend coils over cartos though. I feel the flavor is far superior). Unfortunately I'm really clumsy, so I don't use expensive products, so I can't give you a recommendation on that. But I'm sure some other users have some for you!

Oh, as for cleaning the coils (I might as well mention this because if you do get a bottom feeder like I've recommended, or any replaceable system you'll need to know). I've got it pretty much down to an art. This is specific to the Evod and MT3 product, but any similar set up will be similar.

Disassemble. Remove the top gasket and the stem from the coil piece itself. Remove the flavor wicks. Rinse out flavor wicks. Get some water, heat to boiling point. Drop the coil into the boiling water and let soak for a few minutes. Stir the coils around in the water. Remove from the water and rinse under hot water at as high a pressure as you can (I just use the sink). Pat dry, and put the coil into the base (but don't reassemble), put it on your battery and do a complete dry burn. You want to see those coils glow red hot! Once it's done, your coils should look clean. They might look silver or slightly brown, but they shouldn't be black. After that, I do another boiled water soak because my coils always taste burnt after a dry burn. Then either air dry them, or put them back on the battery for just a few seconds, to dry the wick. Reassemble and you're good to go. I usually do all mine at once every couple of weeks (I have A LOT of coils).

Sometimes I'll also drop my used coils in a vodka bath and just store them there for a while. When I run out of clean coils, I'll pull a used coil from the vodka bath, rinse it with hot water, and let it dry. Doing this I can put off doing the complete dry burn cleaning a couple of times. But eventually it'll still gunk up pretty badly.

For myself, when it came to flavors I did a lot of trail and error.
I knew what kind of flavor I wanted to go for and just kept trying flavors
If I even found one I liked a lot I would even see if I could "tweak" it a little by mixing it with another flavor
Now I have about 4-5 flavors that I enjoy some by themselves some mixed

Tank wise
With having used tanks for a a while before getting into RDA's, I preferred Kanger T3, Protank, Protank 2
The only thing I noticed with using these is that if you are using something sweet like chocolate dream and wanna switch that out to something minty like spearmist, the chocolate is going to over power your mint and you wont even taste it
In my opinion get yourself several tanks or just have a ton of replaceable heads

I am newer to vaping than you but found I was disappointed that many of the flavors just didn't seem flavorful enough or taste like "realistic" enough to the flavors they were intended to be. For me I learned that part of the problem was the way I was "smoking" or hitting off the vape. I was taking a drag off the vape and into my mouth, inhaling it into my lungs and blowing it out my mouth. I've since learned that if I blow the vapor out my nose I realize much more flavor and the vaping seems more satisfying in those regards. I also learned that I don't have to inhale into my lungs to absorb my nicotine. The nicotine from vaping is absorbed via the mucous membranes in your mouth/throat/nose just fine even without inhaling into the lungs. The longer I vape the more pleasurable I realize it is, especially when I don't inhale into my lungs.
About changing flavors, I am new to flavors and like to try alot. I don't know if it is right, but it works for me...when I switch flavors I wash out my protank mini and all it's parts in regular warm tap water, dry them off with a paper towel, let the unassembled parts air dry for about 30 minutes, put it all back together, fill it with new ejuice and begin puffing away. Sometimes the first few "hits" kinda taste like a weird mixture of the two flavors but after that it is fine and I taste only the new flavor (of course I have never vaped anything menthol or cinnamon so can't be sure about such strong flavors.) I may not be doing it right, but three weeks and I haven't broken or burned up any parts up yet. I also try to remember to drink enough, knowing that vaping can dry my mouth which can mess with my level of vaping satisfaction too. Don't know if these things might help you, but I hope you eventually find your vape satisfaction either naturally thru time and trial and error or by using the helpful tips found on the forum here. Thanks for sharing...it's helps us all learn.

I tend to use different tanks for different flavors, so I can switch on the fly. I don't try to wash the flavor out to switch flavors.

I found the choice of flavors to be my biggest headache when I started. At about 2-3 months, when my sense of smell and taste started coming back, I was really frustrated trying to find juices that I liked.

Two months into vaping I felt the same way. Just needed a little more! I discovered rebuildables and man did that fill the void. I bought an AGA-T and learned how to roll metal wicks and wrap coils. The throat hit was the key thing I was missing and this setup fit the bill. Eventually graduated to a Z-Atty Pro. You will taste flavor that you didn't even know was there :)

You can get unflavored nic juice and flavor it yourself. wizardlabs has a lot of flavors in small bottles (8mL). I think their niquid is all PG or all VG though so you would have to get it somewhere else or mix your own.

It seems like a top coil atomizer would be a lot easier to clean than a carto. Just rinse it off with hot water. (vodka/everclear for persistent flavors)
Altsmoke has a 10 pack of the nano cartos for $20 that would be good for keeping lots of flavors handy. I think they would be hard to clean though.
Maybe a dripping atomizer(?) to sample flavors. I'm unfamiliar with them myself.

@Forkeh - interesting thought about the nicotine levels - I started at 18mg and have stayed there... hmmm... may try increasing on a bottle to see though. Yes, I definitely don't blame ECBlends on my taste issues as I have heard great things about them and would recommend them (except their timing issues). I love b&m places as you can taste test but then you are eliminating some great vendors out there. Thanks for all the great info!

@Btnuttier - totally agree with the way you "hit" the vape and the making sure you are hydrated! In fact, ECBlends has a great article I read on this on their helpdesk so glad you mentioned it (the hydration). Haven't tried pulling it through my nose though maybe I will try that... ;-)

Wow all these posts have directed me to much better info and the info on how to clean the EVOD is going to be helpful! I am so glad I posted! And helpful sites too! Now just have to wait for the eCig piggy bank to refill! lol!

Thank you EVERYONE!!!
