Sounds like fasttech is going to handle it.

I could care less is the Center pin was welded to the Body of the mod < Solid DEAD SHORT>
The Battery still should not get hot unless the SWITCH IS CLOSED or the battery NEGATIVE is touching the Tube.
You see, now you have me worried. You seem to have found something(maybe, maybe not) that has nothing to do with your original complaint.
Oh, and several comments/suggestions were<in pertaining to your Original post> Incorrect. Some times things sound Logical, but they really are not.
