Hi all...been vaping on a 510 for over 6 months and have loved it so far. I use a the blue foam plug as a cartridge mod and have had fairly good success. My problem now is that no matter what I do, I am not feeling satisfied with the throat hit on the 510. It is sooo inconsistent. I've gone through too many batteries, and have had bad luck with the atomizers lasting. I really need to move up in the vaping world NOW...because I have started to add analogs back in. HELP!
I need a fairly inexpensive mod (or not...maybe just a better system than the 510?) that gives GREAT throat hit. The flavor is not a big issue for me...and neither is the amount of vapor I get. I am scared that this lack of satisfaction will lead to me going back to analogs unless I order something NOW.
I've tried reading up on all the mods and I just get more confused. I want something fairly simple to use...and something I don't need a gazillion parts for. PLEASE HELP ASAP. I need advice. Thanks, in advance.

Electronic Cigarette Supplies & Electronic Cigarette Refills for Name-Brand Electronic Cigarettes! E-Cigs from LiteCigUSA

Order one of their 510 Premium LR Attys, a Delrin drip tip, and a Hello 016 Kit (or a Hello 16 Battery and Charger)

This setup will give you a pretty dang good throat hit. At least it does for me, and without the nasty charred flavor I got from other LR attys. Just make sure to keep that atty real wet. Drip 6 drops in it when you first get it (after blowing out the stuff already in it) and then after every 4 - 5 hits add 2 more drops. This has been how I have been doing it with this atty.

Alternatively, I get a pretty good throat hit from 510 SLB Cartos when doing a 10+ second direct inhale. With this option you wouldnt really need a high mah rated battery either. Then again, I use a POTENT menthol juice which may be a contributing factor here.

Hey itsmyyear, I don't know that I have much business giving you advice, since I only have a couple of more months than you, but, I went through the same thing at about the same time (6 months). I'm not sure what was going on, but it did pass. Part of what helped it pass for me was getting into dripping and finding some flavors with a bit of a *bite*. I got some Key Lime Freeze from madvapes and used that both straight or mixed with 555. I've also heard that cinnamon flavors do the same.

In AA they give out coins at meetings for various lengths of sobriety...30 days, 90 days, 6 months, 9 months etc. Part of the reason that they give out these coins is because they have found that these times are difficult to get through without relapse. After reading this forum for months now, I am convinced that there is a parallel in quitting smoking and using the e-cigarette. Hang in there, I bet if will soon pass.

Ive been where you are now an d had to go to a mod to get satisfaction. I got it too!

I ordered a GLV 5v and all my problems were solved.

Juice does play a part but the Ecig will make, or break your experience.

Will power to quit also plays a part in getting analogs out of your life but it takes the right hardware too as to help.

This may sound silly, but when I was in your situation I switched to a V4L Kr808.The TH is better and with the XL batts they last a long time. The cartomizers are easy to refill and last much longer between fills.Just a suggestion,it worked for me.

I also find my Kr808 gives a better throat hit than a 510, or a 901, or any atty short of an LR.

The problem with LR's is that they tend to die pretty quick, and sometimes, they take the battery with them. They also eat juice like it's going out of style. I have an LR I use occasionally, but I'm really paranoid about killing a batt with it.

So I'd say either go Kr808 if you still like the cig-like form factor, or, if you don't care what it looks like, maybe something variable voltage like the Little Sister will do it for you. It's fairly cheap for a mod - I think about 60 bucks? - and you can find the voltage that works for you.

A 5v 510 box mod would also help. This way you can still use your ol attys and use lithium ion batteries which are cheaper than the Hello/EGo/Riva and available locally as well as on line. With this mod you can also use regular 510 attys which last much longer than the lr attys. Probably be cheaper in the long run than an EGo/Riva/Hello. Only draw back is it looks nothing like a real cig. I feel like I'm smoking a battery, but I do enjoy it much more than I did my Magma (510). Haven't used my Magma, other than the attys, since I got my box mod.

I also am going to throw my 2 cents in and say buy 100PG juice. Since PG is famous for giving good throat hit. Awesomevapor has all 100% PG mixes and I got amazingly good TH from them. Specially my vanilla and I'm using a 510 like you. Though as far as mods go, I'm also going to say F it, buy a GLV-2 and go for that extra kick as well. They also say chucks do the job well and they are a tad cheaper :)
