Take a look here, another new person looking for a bit of input:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...e-much-info-really-need-help-suggestions.html

That's plenty of $, more than enough for a good start. Somewhere between $35 and $70 should get you a starter kit with a couple of batteries, charger, some initial atomizers or cartomizers, and a little juice.

If you wish to start right off with something for your car, a passthrough and a cigarette lighter adapter (something that plugs into the cig lighter, and has a 2 amp rated USB power socket on the other side), that's about $25 total.

If you go the KR808D-1 route, 5 packs of prefilled cartomizers are about $7 - $9, think of them as each carto is 10 - 12 cigarettes (it varies from vendor to vendor).

Some liquid for use with the eGo/Riva/510 atomizers, or to refill cartomizers, runs anywhere from $6 - $20 per 30 ml. A typical pack a day smoker might use 2 - 3 ml of liquid a day, though those of us who like to chain vape in the car or at work may be more like 4 - 6 ml.

Liquid strength: Typical regulars smoker might use 24 mg/ml, with some needing only 18 and others using up to 36 mg/ml strength. A typical pack a day lights smoker might use 18 mg/ml liquid, with some needing 24, others using 12. On an initial order a good thing is to try a couple different strengths, see which works for you. You may not be thrilled with the flavor of this first set, the idea is to get dialed in on how much nicotine you need. It's also pretty common to switch strengths -- I'll wake up with 24, drop to a 12 - 18 during the day, etc.

The new language...lol. Words to know: Cartomizer, eGo, Liquid, Pass-throughs. This is such a total sub culture....it's very cool. Check out Mistress Nomads videos, how to, Newbies, etc. Valuable info. Most everyone here is attached to his/her PV, Liquid, vendor, etc......take it with a grain of salt and research research research. 200 bucks goes mighty fast!!! Good Luck!

Yes....watch MistressNomad's videos.....up top of the New Members Forum. They will be a lot of help. I'd suggest getting an eGo right off the bat (it's a 510 with a bigger battery.) Go check out Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store.. Or email/call them....they are very helpful. They sell the Joye 510 and the Joye eGo.....they will be lots of help.

$200.00 will go fast, but it will definitely get you an incredible start with the e-cigs. Most people will recommend either the kr808-d1 kit which is closest to the size and shape of a cigarette. Or, the eGo/Riva. These are a 510 unit that does not resemble a cigarette, but has a bigger battery that will last most of the day.

You didn't mention how much you were smoking or what features you find important. The more information we have, the easier it will be to help guide you in the right direction.

I chose the KR808D-1 setup and am very happy with it. Many sell it. Vapor King from Vapor 4 life ("smilin" is 10% off). Litecigusa has it also (no coupon codes, but $2.00 shipping). It is the same as the V2cigs.com model (their website is very detailed and gives a lot of information about how long each battery is, etc.). I got the ultimate kit from V2cigs for 15% off with a coupon code "thanko'leary". I like the WOW cartridges from Vapor 4 Life in cinnamon bun, butterscotch and caramel. The ultimate kit includes a passthrough which I like when driving. It is a device that uses no batteries, but you are connected to a cord to your choice of power (usb, cigarette lighter or wall outlet). The V2cigs.com has a 5 volt power cig and requires higher rated power adaptors (approx. $15.00) which are not included in the ultimate kit. I liked that the ultimate kit came with my choice of 3 batteries. The KR808D-1 are very simple and consistent. They use cartomizers (cartridges and atomizers in one unit).

whatever you do, don't buy from a mall kiosk. i made that mistake and was very disappointed. i haven't heard a good word spoken about them, and they are waaaay overpriced. i'm new as well, but recently purchased a joye 510 from cignot, which is very close to the size/shape of a cig which i like, but everyone is right that the battery doesn't last long. they are so cheap, however, that i just bought a few more and plan on just keeping a few charged throughout the day. also, i strongly suggest getting one with a manual turn on button. i was skeptical at first, but it works much better for me.
