Ok guys and gals..
Most of you are way more talented and more knowledgeable than I.
To that end, it has been suggested many times that I offer a better idea of what goes with what in terms of ohms and coils for tanks, cartos and battery compatibility.
I am offering a 40.00 Store credit to the person who comes up with the most comprehensive and accurate listing on ohms, resistance and how they work together.
I know I have a basic resistance page on my website and it covers a lot but it is missing crucial details.
END USER EASE OF USE, I don't want people having to figure it all out, a lot of us don't have the time to read a guide and "figure it out" or use an ohms calculator (including me)
I am looking for this:
Two individual lists.
List One - Cartos and coils:
(single and dual coil 1.25, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 2.0, 2.2 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 etc )
Example:
The Single coil 2.0 ohm carto is best used on a xx (device) with voltage between xx and xx and will not work on xx
The Dual coil 1.5 ohm carto is best used on a xx (device) with voltage between xx and xx and will not work on xx
for each ohm and coil rating.
List Two - Batteries:
(Standard 510, High mAH 510-T, eGo 3.2, eGo 3.7, eGo-T, Go-go, ProVari, other VV Devices)
Example:
An eGo 3.7v Battery will work with the following coil ohm combos
A Variable Volt Lava will work with the following coil ohm combos
I will use what is provided and insert this information into each item listing, so for instance on my Dual Coil 2.0 ohm Tank replacement item details page I'd like to add:
1. This works best at xx Volts
2. Can be used at xx Volts
3. Does not work at xx Volts
and I will do the same for all my batteries and devices.
I am not asking for anyone to rewrite my pages, just supply the information and I will disseminate.
The list itself is fine but if you are knowledgable enough to add comments like "this will be a warmer vape" or things of that nature, please do
For someone with a great knowledge of electronics, this should be easy, in fact I am sure the info is already out there somewhere, probably on ECF right now.
Four things to keep in mind:
1. It MUST be accurate, safety is paramount.
2. DiscountVapers gets to use the information anyway I wish on the website and in the forum.
3. It doesn't matter to me where the info comes from as long as I am allowed to use it without worrying about someone complaining that I "stole" it.
4. Send the lists to me at eric @ gormly . com
40 bucks isn't a lot, but it's something, so if someone has the time, it's a good deal I think.
RULES to qualify and receive the prize credit:
Please post your interest in doing this here in the thread if you are going to attempt it to qualify for the credit, I don't want 10 people sending me their hard work only to be disappointed that someone else beat them to it and they wasted their time. Submissions will be accepted in the order they are declared here.
One caveat, your information will also be posted here after I have accepted the "winner", if serious flaws are found the prize will be rewarded to the next person who provides proper info. This is important as this information will be used to make purchasing decisions and leaves me on the hook for faulty information.
This idea came to me this morning trying to answer a question on a "what do I use for 4.8 volts?" email.
so this is for selfish reasons also, as I just don't have the time to keep figuring this all out and I'd rather not send them to a chart or a webpage to figure it out on their own.
Thanks for your interest.
