Need help @ putting Batts aside...

I read somewhere that the vendors keep them with 40% load, as most manufacturers would deliver them, and same procedure is the right one as to put batteries aside if you are not gonna use them for long periods...
Is this strictly necessary (Also read they should be 'freezed'...)... I mean, isnt it that they lose a bit of charge daily, so if not in use they would eventually become 40 % 'powered' eventually...

Need your help because I dont know anything about this....

EDIT: Ive been wondering, also, if the 40% power thing is the same whether you vape your batt till it is around 40% of its total power or if you can directly charge it till you make the charging time match this 40%...
If you know/ have experience on this please fill me in...!

In my case, I just use a battery until it discharges, then charge it fully. This seems OK since I've been alternating between three eGo 640 mah batteries for almost a year with no failures.

The atty's are what fail !
