I second the Pico. I would get the full kit with the Melo tank and sub-ohm coils. I would also get a 22mm tank that can take a plus-ohm coil so she can try both styles. The Pico will be an inexpensive power source for almost any coils she wants to use.

The Triton mini, nautilus mini, nautilus x tanks will fit the Pico.

You can also watch the classes if you wanted to get a Provari in the future, but for now, if this will be a gift, start with something still in production.

Good luck with your daughter, and I hope you can get her vaping instead of smoking.

If I were in your shoes, I would buy myself a nice new setup and give my daughter one of my old ones. If my she ends up not pursuing vaping she saves herself some money. If she does pursue vaping she may be more educated in choosing the right setup that matches her style. The way I see it, whether she takes it up or not, I get something new and shiny for myself.

The Pico mods are at either end. The rainbow is in the translucent sleeve, and hot pink is in a magenta sleeve.

You did not mention the tank you use on the provari. You could get just about any of today's regulated mods -- pico is a good example -- but use the same tank she seemed to like. The Nautilus or Nautilus 2 is a good choice. Since everyone has different tastes, remember to save some $$ for the inevitable search for the right liquid.

BTW, I'm an old Hoosier (well Boilermaker actually).

RockyMountainVapor.com carries the Pico 75W Mod, and a variety of the tanks that have been suggested. They also have the coils for the tanks they sell. They currently have a coupon code for 30% off anything/everything on their website, and you get Free S/H for any total purchase of $14 or more! That 30% off would make the Pico 75W Mod...just $22.40!

The coupon code is Turkey.

Eleaf iStick PICO Simple Kit - $32.00 : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes

They have it in Hot Pink and Silver right now!

Many ECF members, me included, have bought lots of their Picos from them. It's a good company, with fast shipping, great customer service, and their products are authentic.

Also, I just checked their website, and DFWVapor.com has the Provari 2.5 Mini still in stock for $49.95. They have it in Purple. It's likely a display model, so may have a slight blem to the paint finish, and won't come with a box or extension cap (for 18500 batteries), but for $49.95 it's hard to beat! I've bought 4 Provari 2.5 (Minis and reg. sized ones) from them in the last several months, and all have been fine!

Well i caught my 19yr old smoking today. Said she didn't want to tell me because she knew i would be disappointed. All of her friends smoke so guess i should have seen it coming. Needless to say i am worried and upset as we all know the trap she is walking into. Apparently she just started so i think i have time to turn this around before she gets in too deep like the rest of us have. I immediately started preaching to her the dangers of smoking, which i thought she already knew from me smoking, but just in case i went back down the list. I then started the vaping sermon. She said she didn't think she would like vaping and it wouldn't be the same. I invited her to try my provari, which is flavored lightly with trebeca, and prayed she liked the flavor. She did and kept vaping on it. I was surprised but she said she thought she would like it and how to go about setting her up with something because she didn't want to end up a smoker but the nicotine made her feel calmer and more relaxed and why she was smoking. She agreed to go to a vape shop in the next day or so and check it out.

Any suggestions or thoughts are welcome. I am alittle uneasy because when i was new at this and went to a vape shop they set me up with a unregulated mod, which i didn't know what that was at the time and really still don't now, but i learned real fast it wasn't for me. It burned my throat and lungs so bad i was in pain for a couple days over it. It was just so hot!! it almost scared me from vaping the experience was so bad. So i know to make sure she doesn't get one of those, but other then that, i don't know much. I don't want to get her a cheapo ego either, i want her vape experience to a be a good one so she will stick with it. She needs something easy like my provari which requires nothing more then reloading a battery and filling your tank, coils premade. I want something new not something used and they don't make provari's anymore. Any suggestions of what i might be looking for and what to stay away from. I am prepared to drop a couple hundred on a nice setup because i will do anything i can to make sure she will have a good experience and stay off of the cigs. A couple things i noticed when she vaped on my provari was she liked the clouds, the flavor, and the nicotine. She did say she preferred a more fruity flavor though. I consider this a positive sign that vaping will work out well for her I just got to get this right first time around or she will just go back to smoking.

I made it clear to her that if vaping did not work out, be prepared for my rules. No smoking in the house, no smoking around me, and never ask me to buy you a pack of cigs. That if she wasn't going to listen to me about how bad a mistake this is, be prepared to suffer the consequences, and there will be consequences that will come at the expense of her health.

The EGO AIO and the Subvod are both decent beginner units and are simple to use. They are also fairly inexpensive. Of course I don't know how much having used a provari will affect her enjoyment of other devices either.

DeAnna2112 I applaud you on how you are concerned and active with your teenager. Teens can be very influential(what other kids, her friends etc are doing). I think you are doing the best thing for her and hopefully she will lead from example if/when she becomes a parent.
Bravo![emoji106]

I'd agree with all the recommendations so far - I've always been a fan of the Picos and have just this week got the Jacvapour DNA75 that @vapdivrr mentioned - I'm really pleased with it and at the price it is maybe your daughter could have one of those and a Pico for back up ;)

By the way, I understand if you put the DNA75 in your basket a leave it for a few days, you'll be offered a discount - it's mentioned here

I have a kabuki tank

If what she liked when she tried your was he Kabuki tank, your choices a quite easy. The Kabuki uses Nautilus coils, so anything in that coil family will work. I would recommend a Triton mini and maybe Nauti 2 as they are top fill, which is way easier. I believe the Triton mini might be a bit easier on the top fill than the Nauti 2, but either are fine. The mod is quite simple. A Pico is more than sufficient for her. Good luck!

I wanted to get my daughter a kabuki tank and was considering a provari 2.5 but it's not compatible. Anyone have any suggestions on a tank that is reliable that would work well on a provari 2.5. Since she likes my provari 3 so much i am gonna see if she would be interested in going with a 2.5. tried to find a provari 3 but there is none to be found.
