I bought a kit and I'm a little leary using the battery and charger included. I don't know if they're protected or if the charger is properly regulated. This will keep me from using the mod extensively and well I didn't buy it cause I like looking at it!

I plan on using it up until this Friday when I get paid. It comes with a fuse which to my knowledge prevents shortage when the magnetic side is connected to the negative pin.

Or am I paranoid? Can't a protected battery leak/explode with a fuse as well?

Never the less... I'm taking recommendations for 18650 batteries and a good charger.

Preferably a protected battery, something I can pair with the fuse and have as much peace of mind as possible. I plan on buying a NiteCore charger, so that is taken care of.. I noticed eFest batteries are very well reviewed and very affordable, but they aren't protected. And honestly, are they even compatible with the K100? I'm a mod n00b, sorry :( I tried going to the new members forum but for some reason I can't post there anymore ?

Once you get in more than a certain amount of posts you can't start a thread in the New Members forum and you're over that now :)

What is the lowest resistance coil you will use in the K100? That will help us suggest good batteries for your application.

In the meantime there's a lot of good info available here: One Stop Reference Shop For New and Experienced Vapers. Battery info from Baditude's blogs are the first three links of the battery section and then there are a few more. All good battery info and also a bunch more on different topics :thumb:
