So I cleaned my 510 atty with isopropyl alcohol last night, washed out under hot water, left to dry. Today I am vaping with it, and every once in a while I hear a sizzling sound when I press the button down on my manual battery. It vapes fine, but towards the end of a nice hard draw, I can hear a sizzle pop. What could that mean?

Was just wondering with what kind of isopropyl alcohol you washed them, I can only find it at 70%, not 90% like people recommend it. I don't think, we canadians, have access to it, right Danesnpits ?!?

We do have accesss to it! I got mine from Walmart in Saskatoon. I had to ask the pharmacist and she said they keep it behind the counter to ensure they dont sell it to addicts..apparently people get a nice high off of it. mine is 99%

Yes, behind the counter! Isopropanol 99% Isopropyl Alcohol USP, less than 5$ for a 500ml bottle, what a bargain, thansk a lot :)

Now I just put my atomizers in it and swoosh it for like an hour, let it dry overnight and that's it?

I am in the camp of blow out the atty each night and forget it. I am getting 4 - 6 weeks out of my Cisco LR 306's and it juts is not worth the effort for me to clean them. If they start acting up I will run under hot tap water, blow out and dry burn. If they still act up they are promptly executed and I take another prisoner from my inventory. Same thing with Carto's. I use them until they start acting up or taste is off and chuck them. Enjoy the vaping

The sizzle is boiling juice, water, whatever happens to be in them at the time. The pops and cracks I couldn't tell you what the cause is, but generally a popping and cracking atty is in proper form! It could be the air rushing in from the inlet holes of the side of the atty and causing ripples and droplets that get blown up when they hit the coil.

Maybe it's a flavor explosion ...

I cleaned a standard 510 atty today to test some Blast from BWB. I didn't want to cinnamize my Monster atty. I washed the 510 atty under hot water, blew it out, and hit the button to fry it and dropped a few drops on the bridge. It vaped weakly for a few puffs, got better, and then died cold. Go figure. I've hot water cleaned attys 50 or 75 times with no ill effects. I guess it was this atty's time to go bye-bye.

Costco carries 4 x 1 litre bottles of 99% Isopropyl Alcohol for $7. Best deal I've found yet. I don't clean as much and am just finishing my first bottle after about 5 months of use. Do need a Costco membership though.

I've used alcohol, but find it no better than just running the atty under the hot water tap in the kitchen sink for a couple of minutes, letting it fill up and drain. When I'm through, the bridge looks new and shiny. I blow it out, let it sit on a towel for a couple of minutes, drip a couple of drops of juice on to the bridge, insert a cart, and vape.

I only do this when I sense a loss of taste or vapor. There's no regular cleaning on my schedule, just as needed. I have lost three attys in a year. Two of those were mega cylinders that died after about a month to six weeks. The 3rd cylinder is still working fine after 6 months. Go figure.
