Why are you buying coils for a MOD? There is nowhere on a mod to install a coil... Coils go in atomizers and which one is determined by the design of that atomizer and the type of vapor you want to produce, within the power limitations of the mod. Might be YOU need neither of those coils and would do better with one at 1ohm. Also is the .2ohm coil a TC coil or Variable volt/wattage coil. ie kanthal vs nickle ect.
I'm using the Herakles tank and coilsThe .2 coils provide a much hotter vape, resulting in more vapor. Not necessarily a better one. That all depends on your e-liquid. What tank are you using the coils on, and what type of coils?
Edit: wanted to add, you'll get better mileage on your battery with the .6 with the 60w.
I'm using the Herakles tank and coils
Sorry that's what I meant, for the tank and atomizer. Not sure if it's TC or VV/VW. I'm more interested in throat hit and flavor as opposed to clouds but is there a happy medium ohm? I see you mentioned 1ohm, would that do it?Why are you buying coils for a MOD? There is nowhere on a mod to install a coil... Yes I amExactly... the Ileaf kits came with a melo tank.
OP: Are you using the temperature control features/option on the battery unit?
Cheers
I
Yes, thank you for that. This is actually my first MOD device and I ordered a back up device that I'm waiting for. I just want to make sure I'm buying the right coils for what I'm looking to experience. I'm more interested in throat hit and flavor as opposed to clouds but that does sound nice, just not as important to me. Is there a good happy medium ohm level? I saw somebody mention 1 ohm.Spaz, I noticed that it is only two weeks since joining. A lot of terms that can be taken different ways. I made a list of terms that I didn't know and slowly got good definitions.
Some don't take into account experience.

Ok sounds good, thanks. No there is NO blanket happy medium. There is what works for you.
You need to find out what you have BEFORE you decide how to build it. You also need to figure out what a good vape is for you.
Well for me, vaping at 1ohm to 1.3ohms, call it 10-17watts, is plenty. But I don't use the tank you have, probably. I use Kayfuns with a tube mech and a chalice3 with a Reo clone, also mechanical. Then there the juice you use in the tank.... The Juice provides the majority of both flavor and throat hit, the mod, how it used and the atomizer and how its built, affect the TH and flavor also. I will say that if I had a regulated mod I might vape at 5-10watts more than I do now, but I could just as well stay in the 10-20 watt range and adjust the size of the coil instead.
If I were you I would start with the highest ohm coil available for your tank, and start with the mod at it lowest power setting. I would then proceed to vaping, adjusting the power levels till I was satisfied or started burning the wick.. At which point, based on the results of this experimental vaping, adjust the coil ohms or coil mass to a more satisfying level.

Can you suggest some websites where I can get 60-70% PG liquids and 1-1.2ohm coils?PG, and nicotine, give a stronger throat hit (TH). PG also carries the flavor in the juice. VG brings the vapor (clouds), so a PG at 90% will help. Some people find PG an irritant because it is harsher, though.
As to ohms, a low ohm resistance will require more power (Watts) which increases the "heat" of the vape and, along with VG, gives big clouds. It also sucks up battery power, hence dual 18650 mods. Also, heats juice faster. The heat/VG can also affect flavor.
Higher ohms is rather the opposite. Higher resistance (Ohms) in the 1.5-2.5 range will be a cooler vape and less watts/longer battery life.
For a flavor person, I lean to 60-70% PG and resistance between 1.0 & 1.2 ohms. A little less juice, more flavor, middle level heat.
This forum, being populated by hobbyists that like to talk shop and pushing the limits, leads readers to think bigger/more is better. Most are just not in that category and just go about their business. Cigs were very boring, regular or menthol. Vaping is a huge world.
"Oh, the places you will go!" (Have fun, switch from cigs)
