Hi, I have the Vaporz Cloud 30ml rdta tank and have had it for almost 2 years. It has held up well. Lately though, I have been struggling online looking for the right coils. My preference is Claptons and from what I was told, I need dual coil Clapton or aliens, .3mm, 10 wrap, 22 gauge or higher. All the stores in my area don't carry them and when I look online, I feel I am not able to narrow a search to exactly or close enough to this criteria. Can someone please steer me toward the right site or person who can make these? Thank you.

His coils are a bit on expensive side but they last, and they are very good. I've had the Tricore, Vertabraid, and Alien.
Thank you. I just checked out his site but I'm still not sure what size I need. One guy at a store said 10 wrap but I'm wondering if the diameter of the coils determine how many wraps I need. This is where I get confused, finding the right size.

Do you know how many ohms your shooting for?

Who told you that was the build your looking for?

Anyway... if you know the ohms your looking for you can get Claptons pre made just about anywhere.

It's perhaps confusing because they tell you the gauge of both the outer wire (which acts as a heatsink) as well as the gauge of the inner core wire. They also tell you the inner diameter of the coil (to note: there is a huge difference between 3mm and .3mm... we should assume your wanting 3mm id)

If you know what ohms you like to vape at, (perhaps .2 - .3 ohms?) go somewhere like twisted messes or kidney puncher and pay attention to the ohms they say their premade coils test out at, then figure it for a dual coil set up if they have it stated for a single coil reading. (dual coils is a single coil reading halved )

Did you see if either of these sites have 10 wrap? That appears to be the size I need. Or is it because of their diameter I can go with less wraps?
as the other guys pointed out it should be more important the ohms you need.i can only guess there between 2.5-3mm and no clue on the wraps.

Hi and welcome. Yes the mandrel size makes a difference in the wraps. The resistance of the wire is calculated by the linear length of the wire used. A smaller diameter mandrel requires more wraps to make the same wire length, and thus resistance, than a larger diameter. It's also not necessary to wrap round coils. They can be done on a square or triangular mandrel, yielding a coil in the same shape. I tried a hexagonal mandrel once but the coils came out so close to round I couldn't see an reason to keep it up. I have successfully wrapped rectangular coils before, to install them as an internal chimney, externally wicked coil set above the air intake ports in the atty. Still other configurations are possible, but in all cases the total resistance varies directly with the length of wire used, not its shape or diameter or number of wraps.

It really is more accurate to describe a particular coil set by the resistance of it rather than its physical dimensions. I suggest you go back to your shop and find out what resistance of coil set you are supposed to be looking for. We will then be able to help you better.

It doesn't really matter so much the number of wraps, although coil diameter will matter a bit in some tanks, if they are smaller, you may require a slightly lesser diameter than in a larger tank to make things work. I would look at target RESISTANCE along with coil diameter, and find something that suits your needs (wraps, themselves along with diameter and a few other factors will determine the resistance you end UP with) but if you are looking for coils, just look for the diameter you think will work best for your tank, then find the resistance you are looking for.

Good luck, there are many places you can get coils, including Fasttech but that will be the slowest option.
