If you're making the same resistor for a parallel circuit, you can just double the value of the overall resistance you want to have, so as long as they're the same..0.9= two 1.8 coils 0.8= two 1.6 coils.
If you want different sized coils, you'll need to know the formula...2 & 3 will be the two coils.
1/resistance= 1/2 + 1/3
1/resistance= 3/6 + 2/6
1/resistance= 5/6
1/resistance= 1/.8333
Resistance= 0.8333
Oh to edit I just click on my post...
Series you add the resistance. Parallel you hsve to find the reciprocal.
The surface area is increased. I've doubled power outputs on dual coils. I typically use 2.0 ohm singles, but I'll pick a 1.5 ohm dual coil over a 3 ohm single coil. I feel like I get a better throat hit, but it's not as cool as the single coil in 3 ohms. More surface area=more heat distribution.
