i just bought an empiremod drip shield along with the 510 to 510 sealed adapter. it seems to work for stopping leaks but it gets no airflow. taking a hit is so restricted. i feel like i'm sucking on a straw with my finger covering the other end. does anyone know of a way to fix this? is there a way i can modify the drip shield?

use a needle and take/pry the upper 0-ring out of the drip sheild, the one thats closest to the air holes. You don't need that one anyway and it increases the airflow and makes it easier to take the drip sheild off when you need to.
Make sure the bottom o-ring on the drip shield is below the air holes on the bottom of your atomizer.
i did this with my first sheild i got when they first came out. Don't do this! making the airholes bigger strips the anodizing off the drip sheild, this causes rust flakes to form and they get all inside the drip sheild walls.
drilling the hole bigger with strip the anodization off and the drip sheild will accumulate rust flakes, i ruined 2 drip sheilds doing this.
