I have been buying juice at my local store for the past 2 years that they call "smooth menthol". They make it in house and I get it at 12mg nicotine 50pg/50vg.

I got tired of spending $15 / week and decided to make it myself - I ordered all the stuff, I just need some advise tweaking the recipes.

I originally tried just using crystal solution but found the flavor wasnt strong enough and was missing something.

So I found one on here that called for -
Menthol 3% - I bought crystals and diluted 3 to 1 pg/crystals in a 30ml bottle
Wintergreen 3%
Koolada 3%
Creme De Menthe 3%
Peppermint 3%
Target 12mg nic 50vg/50pg

I found this to be too sweet with a candy taste -

I am used to, and hoping to get more of a throat hit (not smooth, more burning sensation) with more of a menthol flavor -

Any ideas on what flavors to tweak and if I should go for a different pg/vg percentage

Thanks!

Based on that recipie, and you describing it as too sweet, may I sudjest tweaking it to these levels.

Menthol 4% (menthol is a flavor itself, and adds a slight cool effect but more burning imo)
Wintergreen 2% (I find this only adds flavor, no cooling/burning)
Koolada 3% (no flavor, just freeze effect)
Creme De Menthe 1-2% (sweetened mint with almost no cooling/burning)
Peppermint 2%
Target 12mg nic 50vg/50pg

Hi friend, I've smoked menthols for years. Closest I came to replicating a menthol analog is vg/pg only, with either Koolada (WL) or Extreme ice from Mount Baker. Once satisfied, slowly introduce other flavors.

Your saying to try using only Koolada or Extreme Ice? I thought koolada was more of an enhancement and didnt have much flavor - no?

What I was suggesting is, using Koolada or extreme ice, till your satisfied with menthol flavor, then add flavor. This is what I did. From my experience Koolada increases throat hit, to much I was coughing up a storm. Extreme ice was much more menthol cool. So, best to experiment with either one, before adding flavor.

What flavors do you mix in?
