So, I'm new to all of those but I love it so much. Recently purchased a kangertech sub box mini, black and white, which came in a kit which had the box, tank, charger, two coils, and another different coil as well. Well I've had it for a week and I have been having this 9.9 ohm issue. I've changes my coils recently because of a burn issue but that has been taken care of. This brand new coil will not let me use the vape its just constant dry hits over and over and its reads 9.9 over and over as well. I need help fixing this because I can't return the box and I haven't been able to use it for two days because of this issue

When it reads 9.9ohms it's bascially telling you it's not making a good connection. First thing I would try would be to disassemble the tank and make sure the coil is screwed in correctly. Check everything else while you are there, making sure everything is finger tight and snug.

Then clean everything - use a q-tip and some alcohol (or something similar) and clean the connector on your subox and the connector on the tank. Make sure they are dry before you reassemble.

If that doesn't fix it, it could just be a bad coil. It happens. Only way to fix it will be to change the coil.

If that still doesn't work, it could be your 510 connector on either the tank or the subox not making contact. If it's still under warranty you might want to reach out to your vendor. Just searching around on youtube I found a few videos for the 9.9ohm fix, but they seemed to be mainly for those using the RBA section of the tank and not premade coils. Might be worth a look for you too.

I'm thinking I'm just gonna have to suck it up and just go buy ANOTHER coil. Thisll be there fourth one in three days. I like this box but I have had nothing but problems with it since I got it and I'm not able to return it back to where I got it because they said they don't do refunds they just replace specific parts. Ugh

likely the 510 pin at bottom of connector has gotten pushed down... if you tried all of the above and still getting 9.9 ohm reading, use a very small screwdriver to pry up edge of the brass firing pin in center of connector on the mod itself (not the tank) - and make sure it is off (take battery out)... gently work around edge, prying up a little to raise that pin back up, then try putting tank on, putting battery back in and power up...

Is that what the coil screws onto? Like I said I'm new so it's a little confusing..

When I google searched "subox 9.9ohm fix" I saw a lot of people are having similar issues Kelsea. I hope you get it sorted. I know I could pry up the little 510 connector on some of my batteries with a paper clip to get them to read properly. Just remember if you mess with it, you might invalidate the little warranty it might have. Search youtube for a how-to video - it's very simple.

Whatever happens, try not to be too down-beat about it. If you are vaping not to smoke, you'll have the occasional setback.

My best advice to you is to always have a backup - even if it's a $20 stick battery and a cheap little tank - that way when things go wrong (and they will), you have an out without reaching for the pack...

Good luck...
