Thanks all for your help--I've realized Im quite an idiot...I actually was looking at Ego Mega blank cartirdges I ordered and thought they were the Cartomizers. (I really wish they would label everything when they send it) I can't even use the mega blank cartriges--oh well lesson learned!! I watched the video to refill the carto's..it doesn't have the screw in end on that, does it? I cant refill that way with the gold screw in end, can I? Also, how do you get the white end plug out? I'm sure these are all new dumb questions..but oh well!!

Yes, the screw end is there, you just can't see it very well - probably cause you noticed the dirty finger nails like I was shuddering at the first time out....
put the white part end into the cap with juice in it, 14 drops or just under 3/4th of the way full, then slowly push the carto down into the cap - keep your eye on the screw tip part, you will see a little bubble of air, then juice - stop when you see the crowning of the air bubble <the first time you're gonna oops it so don't worry about it>
wipe it off with a damp papertowel, and then check the screw in end for any juice - then screw it in to the battery
You can remove the white cap with a bent open paper clip, but its a bit of a bugger getting it back in for me any ways...LOL

Erin - The common words used to describe a cartomizer are: the "white part end" is the mouth end, the "cap" is the condom (the two clear rubber things that are on both ends of the carto - one could be taller than the other), and the "screw tip part" is the threaded end.
If a paper clip won't work to get the white mouth-end cap off, you might have the hard, plastic mouth caps (instead of the soft rubber mouth caps), which will require a fork to pry it off. In that case, you can skip taking off the mouth end cap and fill the carto by inserting the threaded end of the carto into the condom that's 1/2 full with juice. Try not to overfill the carto, because then it will be hard to take puffs and you won't get much vapor or satisfaction. 1/2 of a condomful is about right, if you're using the taller condom.
If a paper clip won't work to get the white mouth-end cap off, you might have the hard, plastic mouth caps (instead of the soft rubber mouth caps), which will require a fork to pry it off. You can insert the gold threaded end into the condom and then clean the threads when you're done. Many people do it that way. I prefer to insert the mouth end into the condom (back when I was refilling cartos using the condom method, until I realized it's just much easier to drip about 15 drops right into the filter inside after removing the white mouth end cap).
Thanks Asti--your the best! Very funny about the nails..I did notice that! Ok I finally got it! I think it's the first time I did it right. Now I know I need to get some new juice cause the cherry and b& H ones I got are grose! Would like some lower mg ones too--the LiteCig site didn't have many with low mg's. Gonna try taking this with me when I leave the house instead of taking my analogs...
Erin, you are in no way an idiot. We all did the same thing, it is all part of the process. So glad you have it filled. It helps to allow the cartomizer to sit for about 15 minutes for the liquid to evenly disperse. Press the button as you bring it up to puff and take a 3 sec puff, then let off the button and repeat with a 5-7 sec puff. Not stiff puffs, just an easy lingering pull.
If any juice gets in your mouth, drink some water first. Then unscrew the cartomizer and with a tissue on the threaded end, blow lightly through the mouthend. This should clear any overfill out.
Some people don't even remove it from the battery and just blow. Not sure how that one works!
Don'y throw those juices away. In about 2 weeks they will probably have a different taste as your taste buds will adjust as will the flavors with a little time.
I still have some that I have pulled back out and like them, when I first got them I thought I had just wasted a little more money.
If you have a corkscrew or a knitting needle one of those 2 items are great at removing the white caps. Not sure which ones you have though. If they won't come off with one of the above mentioned ways you could boil some water. Take it off the stove and dip the tip, just enough to cover the white tip for about 5 seconds. This helps to loosen the glue and you can then pop offf the top. Don't leave it in the water too long as this will melt the plastic. If 5 sec doesn't do it, dip it again for a couple more sec.

I picked B & H too - mines an 11 mg and I think its a tad weak, so it will have a sit in the drawer until I find something to add to it, the cherry does sound good - maybe after it sits a bit it might taste better/different to you - in any case they could be something to have in a pinch, or use to mix with something else.
Warning: do not leave your Ego on the car seat when getting in and out of the car! Mine slide in the fold of the seat by the seat belt and I couldn't find it for ages... was looking all over the store...parking lot...then went back over the car and there it was pinched in the fold - thank the stars I had put the cap on it otherwise the button might have gotten pushed in that whole time and toasted the battery/atomizer up!
Going pretty good today--started with my coffee and my Ego (instead of an analog)--went outside to vape cause I realized that is part of my routine and I wanted to satisfy that without smoking!! Ended up having a few drags of an analog after about an hour, but it really felt the same.(It was nice to sit with my son this morning and not worry that he thought I smelled bad ) I think it's just my stubborness that's making me want the analogs. Feeling a bit dizzy, not sure what this is about--have to try different amounts of vaping to see if I'm doing too much or too little.
I'm gonna try to look at some different sites later to find some better juice. Do any have a taster deal? Would love to try different ones without buying a who 5ml bottle.

Glad to hear your comfort level is going along well... don't worry about the analogs directly, but perhaps have a good healthy sniff of a well used ashtray before lighting the next one and see what happens....

I have picked up a few analogs just to compare...the first week they felt about the same..I think I smoked two?
now on the third week I went out last night and lit one up and it tasted nasty for some reason so I put it out and vaped instead
I think I can pick up on the burning tobacco ashy taste now under all the menthol
I started with a kr808 model which has a much lower learning curve but am going with an ego style next for the ability to change flavors easier

We are new to vaping as well and we know where you are coming from ... we still smoke analogs too but have cut down considerably. The nice thing about vaping is that you can keep your basic routines (like vaping with coffee) while working on other aspects of smoking like getting over the other addictive properties in analog cigs - there is so much crap that is in cigarettes. That could be one reason why you're feeling dizzy. It's not just the nicotine you're addicted too ... it's all the other additives as well so you will go through a "withdrawl" from those while keeping the nicotine intake.
Along with that you probably do need to adjust your nicotine levels because of not getting all the other additives and you might not be vaping enough. Before we started vaping, we got hooked on watching Sean from ZigCigs as he started his journey from smoking to vaping. It was quite interesting to see the changes in him as they occurred video to video. He does have an online store but I'm not endorsing him for that, one of his videos explained that he was feeling the same way you are and someone told him that he was not vaping enough. So maybe keep all of that in mind - you might need to vape more than you actually smoked and adjust your nicotine levels until you find the "sweet spot".
Along with different nicotine levels, you might want to try different bases - switch between straight PG or VG or a mix of both. I know that Good Prophets (GoodProphets.com) sells a number of 3ml "sample" bottles of juice using PG and VG for only a couple bucks each, so you might want to check them out. They are also in PA so it wouldn't take much time for shipping being that you're in VA, but also look around because there are a lot of great vendors.
