So i just bought a new Rsst rba for my nzonic, i set it up with mesh and 28g wire got everything ready to get screwed it on my nzonic and nothing but a little red glowing light coming off the center pin spring no where close to the spot it should be lighting up. so i rebuilt the Rsst rba with silica wire and got the same result, what am i doing wrong, why cant i get the wire to heat up around the wick it self instead of the center pin??????????HELP!!!!!

A pic would help diagnose. I don't have an RSST but if your center pin spring is getting hot/glowing red your hard shorting. Isn't the pin insulated from the top? It should not make direct contact with the tank body anywhere so that current has to ground to the tank deck (where the neg post returns current through the tank body). Phil Busardo does a thorough breakdown: A PBusardo Review - Smoktech RSST Genesis Atomizer - YouTube

Your wraps of heater wire may be touching they need to be separated at least one wire width. To prevent shorts and to allow the vapor to flow from the wick. I would invest in a inexpensive Volt Ohm Meter so you can test your work. Radio Shack has one that is good enough for testing ohms but it is not good for APV's for checking voltage as it is not true RMS. But that's OK. Just need to test the resistance between the center pin and the body of the RBA. It's hard to short an RSST on the Wick as it is in an insulated hole but you could be shorting between the windings. The wires from the center pin can not touch the body of the cap so trim off excess wire also the wire on the ground screw can not tough the center pin so trim that off.

Oh when using SS mesh try wrapping either some cigarette paper around where you plan to wrap the coil or use on wrap of Unbleached Cheese cloth thread. That and oxidizing the SS mesh good will prevent shorts between the winding of the coil and the SS mesh. OH on the cigarette paper you just need a piece long enough to go round one time and do not use the part with the glue on it.

so after reviewing the video the reason i believe this is happening is there is no rubber piece between the center pin and the tank that should have came with the rsst.

If you have replacement heads from clearo's or BCC's like the Kanger T3 or EVOD, pull the coil assembly apart, there is a rubber grommet on the bottom. Use that in your RSST. It will help with the issue you are having, along with preventing leaking down the center shaft onto your 510 connection.
