Need help with my Smoktech Magneto ASAP

Hey everyone!
Newby here, I just recieved my Smoketech Magneto in the mail today.
I was playing around with the mod and checking the locking ring out, I unlocked it and now it is stuck in the unlocked position.
good news is that I can still vape this beast, but the ring will NOT budge no matter what I try.
I would like to lock this sucker back when not in use!
Any help would be tremendously appreciated!!!!

Ah ha! You are binding! Happens all the time, unfortunately. All I can recommend, is NOT using pliers unless they have rubber coated ends. Try using a kitchen rubber pad thing, or taping it lightly until it gives. Hope this helps!

If you got it in a local shop, take it back. Or go with the rubber-tipped pliers.

Thanks to both of your replies! I'll check out some rubber tipped pliers while im at work tonight, I read a comment on a rip trippers video to put it in the freezer for ~1 hour, I'll try everything lol. It's bugging the crap out of me!!
EDIT: I got it from vapingcraze so that'd be a hassle I'm sure, unfortunately in this town there are no vape shops

Boiling water also works, and is quicker than the freezer...
