Alright hope this is the right spot. I just received my 1st mech yesterday in the mail. However its got a slight problem. The locking ring is in the unlocked position. No big deal. The fire button however is stuck. Its like its spun in as far as it can go. So its actually flush with the bottom of the locking ring. And of course with the locking ring being reverse threaded I'm not able to use brute force. Of course since the mech is a clone the corner they cut was the firing pin being cut for a screw driver to adjust. So I cant just unscrew it. Any ideas how I can loosen this up?

Muzichead it is the private I just walked in the door. Here are the images. When locked there should be a gap between the copper and silver. As it sits now, with the copper and silvet touching, the device should be unlocked and the button should be exposed.

I had that problem with mine.
I cut a slot in the bottom silver pin with a dremel. That allowed me to use a screw driver to unscrew the switch housing.

Crap I just looked at the pic you posted, and your switch is locked in the opposite position that mine was in. Sorry!!

I still suggest cutting the slot in the pin. It will help you tighten the switch. My pin wanted to work its way out.

Peppie. Thank you. I have actually been contemplating this ecact move. If I can just un screw it ill be fine. Its just tight. I'm still waiting to hear back from vivid smoke if they are going to help me out since it was sent this way. If they won't I think this is my only option.

Try this: take a nice thick rubber band, and while pushing the button wrap it around the circumference of the pin. Take a pair of pliers, grip the rubber banded pin, and try to unscrew it that way. The rubber band should keep the pin unscratched and also act as a better grip. Once it's out you can play around with it and cut a slot if you wish.
