I bought a Saber Touch 3.7/6v in the classifieds. When it works, I love it. WHEN it works. I charge the batteries, and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I'm not sure how to clean the contact touch thingy, but I'm not sure that this is the problem. I've tried moistening my touch finger, and my hand is touching the metal base to make contact. I cleaned the threads and applied a thin coat of Noalox, because when I first received it the cap was almost impossible to get on.

I'm using Tenergy RCR123A 3.0v 900mAh Li-Ion batteries. Four batteries were included with my Saber Touch, along with the charger. I just ordered another four batteries and charger, but I don't think the batteries are the problem.

When I install freshly charged batteries, sometimes it works GREAT, but other times it just won't fire up at all. I set it down, and then try again. Sometimes that will work. But other times I have to take the batteries out, check to make sure they really ARE charged, take off the atty, and then put it all together again.

Last night my daughter's boyfriend wanted to see my new PV so I put in newly charged batteries, and nothing...and in the meantime my husband just stares at me wondering why I spent money on a pipe-bomb looking thing that doesn't even work.

I pm'ed the vendor, and he was kind enough to send me the instruction sheet which is posted on the website, but that didn't provide any troubleshooting info.

A few days ago, it was actually ON even though my finger was not on the touch button. I took it apart, asked it nicely to NEVER do that again, and so far it hasn't. But once was enough, I am afraid to even put it down now without taking the batteries out.

Any ideas what I can do to get this to be a more reliable device? Thanks!!

I had this same problem with mine and had to send it back in for repair. Don;t know what was done to fix it but it was fixed.
I had good luck with it after the fix. I was using 3.7 16340 batteries in it. not the 3.0 123's tenergys. Mine was a 5v version though. Tenergys are good for 3.7/6v.

I did sell the unit and it worked great. I just didnt like the touch switch. I would touch it at times nad didnt like that firing when I didnt want it to. Never could get use to the switch in it..

What you are describing is not normal. Send it back in for a look to see what is wrong. Good luck..

Thanks for replying, Doots. I've been in touch with Sir Lawrence, I am going to send it to him so he can take a look at it for me. I LOVE this when it works. I really like the touch button and 6v vaping so once it's working properly and I get my extra charger and batteries, I will be all set. (hehehe I say that now....LOL)

I learned the hard way not to buy used Mods. You just never know what has happened to it. No matter who you get it from and I got mine from one of the most respectable people on the forum. I bought a used Saber Touch and had to send it back. Luckily Sir Lawrence is an awesome vendor and fixed it for me. I went on to buy another 5V from him and a mini. I love my Saber Touches and just got a vape mate for them.

Thanks, Nyxie, I agree that Sir Lawrence is awesome!! I'm sending it to him for repair. I love my Saber Touch, and I know once I get it back from him I will be happy. Next on my list is a black stardust ST, which I will be ordering directly from Vapor Moon. (See not even an hour later and I'm already planning on buying MORE!)

Lol I ordered my second one while the first was on its way back. I have fallen in love with feeder mods but aways go back to my ST when I have an issue. I got my vape mate today and think it is a great fit for my ST's. Now I want a stardust Vv lol.
