I just got my ego and e-liquid. Now I have no idea how to use it. It came with 5 prefilled cartridges that taste decent. My question is where do I put the e-liquid I ordered? The tips I use are already filled so wouldn't adding more e-liquid to the atty in addition to the pre-filled carts, make the taste funky?

Also where do I drop the liquid? I don't know which part is the atty...

First use the pre-filled cartridges by connecting one to your atty. When the flavor is used up or the atty is dried out and not producing anymore vapor, you can remove the polyfill (rinse it out) and add a few drops of your eliquid to the cartridge. Or....you can just drop a couple of drops directly into the center of your atty and replace the cartridge.

Once the prefilled cartridges have been used you can refill them with the juice you bought. Just take the filler out of the cart, rinse it out in plain hot water and blot it dry with a paper towel. You can rinse out the carts the same way. Drip juice into the empty cart until it's about half full, then put the clean, dry filler back in the cart and drip juice onto it until it looks slushy on the top. Put the filled cart on your atty and vape away. Easy.

There are 4 parts to your ego. The battery, atomizer, cartridge and cone. The cartridge is the part you put in your mouth. If they are already filled with liquid and you are satisfied with the taste, just keep using them until you notice the flavor drop off. You can then add more liquid to them.

The cartridge inserts into the atomizer and you can just drip a drop or two right into the hole that you took the cartridge out of. If you are using cartridges, though, be careful not to overfill, since there is probably already liquid in there.

This is just a quick answer to your question. The information you should really read can be found in the library and especially in DonDaBoomVape's guides

Tradegal hit it on the head.

You can wash the filler out in warm water and then dry it out with a paper towel. When adding the juice to your own carts, I fill the cart up about a 1/4 of the way first with juice. Then add back the filler, and add a few more drops in the cart. Toothpicks are my new best friend. I poke the filler a little to allow the juice to sink and mix. I add 2 drops into the atty for good luck add the cart, and vape away...

Becareful with your bare hands touching the filler if there is still juice on it.

Try to keep the same flavors with the same carts and fillers. Cinnamon seems to never go away.....

Good luck with the eGo... It has treated me very well.....

Should I keep the empty cartridges.... I have some cartos coming in the mail but they have not arrived yet.

How long should it take me to use up all the liquid already in the carts?

Also, when I draw, the device makes somewhat of a ticking/hissing sound. Is this normal?

Keep everything *lol* I convert some of my extra carts into drip tips.... The ticking / hissing is normal and listen for mine everytime.... Depending on how much you vape, will decide how long the cart lasts. I can go though a regular cart in an hour chain vaping with a beer, or can last me a few hours hit and miss.

Yes. Keep your carts even if you decide that you like cartos better. You never know when something might happen and you need them.

That depends on how much you vape. It might last 30 minutes or it might last over an hour. No one will be able to tell you for sure.

The hissing or sizzling sound is normal. That means that your atty is vaporizing the liquid. If you hear gurgling, that means your atty is flooded. The worst sound for a vaper is the sound of silence. That means that either you've really flooded the atty or it's dead.

I hope this answers your questions!

I don't even wash out prefills - I just reuse them until the stuffing tastes bad then throw away the stuffing and switch to blue foam.

And don't throw out your carts if they fit fine. If they are standard 510 carts you can get precut blue foam stuffing cheap at strictlyejuice.com - when the white stuffing gets cranky, take it out, wash the cart, and try the blue foam. carts are always useful for juices you don't want to fill a whole carto with, for if you get low on cartos, etc.

BTW - link to a pdf-format Joye 510 manual - not Ego manual but should be helpful
