mods are usually 'upgraded' parts, there are atty mods and battery mods. they are usually for advanced users who want to get more out of their vaping experience by giving you higher voltage vaping or lower resistance atties, which translates to more vapor and more flavour. For a start, I don't suggest you consider them since you won't know how to use them effectively and you won't be able to troubleshoot if its not performing well. get the kit in the picture and start learning bit by bit. and yes, carts or atomizers are not meant to last a long time, thats why we all stock up on them.

The only atomizers that can last long are rebuildable atties, when they are going to die, you just take them apart and and build it back to brand new, the iatty for one is a rebuildable atty, but there is a very steep learning curve in using it. The cost to buy one is about $150-200. So I think 3 bucks for 1 cartomizer is not a very bad deal.

I suggest you get both cartos and atties to try out. Most people would prefer one over another.

Those cheap 510-T atties can last a long time too if u know how to take center metal needle out. They come with a hollow needle like metal that act a bridge for the liquid to flow to the coil, not to be confused with 510 (without the T) atties that come with a metal mesh loop. As long as the coil are still heating up, u can clean them easily and replace the wick with zippo wicks and they will work like new.

Haha trini trying to poison ppl :p

Dude, although it sounds awesome to get an iatty (which it is) there are some drawbacks for you who have not even started:

1) The iatty is big and fully stainless steel which makes it heavy, if you are getting a ego type ecig, that would mean that it is easily 2.5 times in width and would prob look ......ed.

2) It will cost you as much, if not more than buying a full ego kit. Shipping one in would set you back at least $150

3) The learning curve to use it, is no simple task, just building it takes even users like us 15-20 mins just to tinker around with it to get it right.

4) But the most important point is... its SOLD OUT worldwide :p and from the looks of things, there is a iatty2 in the works, which will come out around xmas. However, prices has set it around $250 USD =D

But if you are still interested, you can go check out some design drawings on it and also the iatty forum.

A much simpler way, just buy your kit and carts from Trini.

first you think of getting a good cartomizer/atty,then you wanna get something more durable, after that you think to yourself 'if i'm getting something as expensive as iatty why not get tank system".then you get a UFS.You think again,UFS only goes well with GGTS.Then you think, why not get the best mod so I won't have to worry more. Then the best juice, best case....this ecig thing is gonna cost me so much more than I ever imagined...healthy for my lungs but not for my wallet.

But once you got the best of everything, you should be cutting down on spending already since there's nothing left for you to buy??
