thanks snooke, i might just head to KSL City to check out the ego-C kit.

here's some of the features of the Lavatube that might restrict how you vape with a LR dct

Short Circuit/Atomizer Protection. The lavatube can recognize an atomizer with too low of a resistance for the current voltage setting and will drop the voltage to 3.7v to protect both the battery and atomizer. If the atomizer is too low or shorted out it will shut off power to the device to protect the lavatube from being damaged.

Amperage Limiting to 2.5 amps – The device should monitor and shut itself off if it detects any excessive over-current conditions.

Aim high! Haha...
Eventually, u'll want one.

SS GG Stealth (TMF) #1923 / SS Megalodon / Provari Black Chrome / Odysseus Full Kit / M1A1 Buzz Tank / Empire Gun-Metal Diamond Cut

I started with VET then I broke it. DIYing boxmods ever since. 3.7V to 5V to my latest toy the Poorvari. It vapes anything like a boss~!

Initially really wanted to get those bling bling stuff especially the GGs which is like the holy grail of vaping. In the end, saw the prices i told myself,"Fuq dis sh|t." and started making box mods.

should i be bothered about the lavatube restrictions on using LR 1.5ohm cartos?

Lavatube has a max current output of 2.67A(Lavatube E-Cig | Variable Voltage With Maximum Safety)
Normal LR1.5ohm is ok. but max u could go may be 4V which theoretically give u 2.66A with out triggering the cutoff.
All single coil equipment should be able to function without hiccups.

But now, things gets dicey when u use dual coils. using a LR DC 1.5ohm @ 4V will result in the attys drawing 5.32A which will definitely trigger the max current cutoff. The only safe voltage to use with LR DC may be as low as 2V which don't really produce vapor or TH of any use.

That said if you are looking for VV PVs, look for those that has a current cut off of at least 6A to allow u to use DC stuffs properly. If my memory don't fail me, Provari do not have this capability maybe all single batt VV mods are not capable of this. However I stand to be corrected on this point as the e-cig industry is advancing in leaps and bounds.

to be honest, i'm not sure what the difference is between a normal carto and a dual coil one. and how the resistance will affect the vapor.

i will go read up on it here ( http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ined-detail-single-dual-coil-atty-cartos.html ). but can anyone translate that to english please hahahaha.

so it seems like the lavatube does have certain limitations when it comes to LR 1.5ohm dual coils, how about the Ovale V6? so if you'd recommend something, what would it be?

my budget for entire kit is like S$150ish + alittle more room for accessories like tanks, consumables, spare batts or spare carto things.

thanks guys great help so far

fallraen, do not waste your time on an SD Keyring! I repeat, do not, period!

It might just turn u off. Vapor production was poor, TH is sub-standard and battery-life is like........

Btw, for those using e LT, here's a method for u to check yr loaded voltage: press e on/off button 7 times and then press e manual button and on/off button simultaneously and VOILA! Although it can be argued whether tt's e true voltage reading.

But seriously, e LT is good to start with if u want to quit smoking with 100% intention. But yes, it has a lot of limitations. I've had my share of joys and spoils w e lavatube and have upgraded after I've discovered tt I love vaping.

Like what Madhero said, it might not be an investment as u can't sell it for higher than what u bought them originally for but it is worth trying. Nonetheless, it's still worth buying as a first kit.

I beg to differ on the SD Keyring. it's suitable for some as the ultimate "stealth" vaping experience, considering it's cost of less $30 and as a 300ma battery. I feel it's quite a good standby or "walk around town" kit. have used it in some very restrictive places and got away with it. 18mg 100% PG and minimal vapour. of course at home I'll just OD with the GG/Ody.

thanks Rul46 for letting me in on the SDK.

what have you upgraded to? if possible could you let me in on how you upgraded? let me know by pm or any way safely.

the thing is i'm trying to get a PV where i can have options of using a wider variety of cartos without being limited by the LT safety features. if i can't find any viable option, i'll just get the LT and stick to my single coil options for now.

can i get any high power PV, say if i increase my budget to 200. portability is not an issue as i mainly want to use it at home. also i don't mind a secondhand set as long as its not too old and functioning fine. lol desperate measures.
