Need Help

Hey everyone. Before I state the nature of my issue, I just want to say that I have googled this but the closest I get to an answer seems to be a very common discussion of an issue that is close but the same as mine. Or at least from what I can tell. I recently purchased and have been enjoying a kayfun Lite Plus from Ehpro and Stingray brass mod by Infinite. Tonight something absolutely terrible has happened. It seems that the airflow screw was too loose and has unscrewed just enough to lock itself into an airflow channel in the top cap of the mod. I can hear and feel it hit. I can turn it just fine but only a fraction of a turn. I do not want to destroy the top cap. I have a whole day of volunteer work to get through tomorrow and I have already disassembled my other tanks and am completely disheartened by this travesty. I'm trying not to freak out but there really doesn't seem to be much hope. If anyone has any ideas, please share. I have had this setup for 4 days now and I am devastated.

I see where other people have posted the having the same problem, but they didn't post the outcome. Maybe you could PM them and see if they were able to get it out.

ETA: Actually there's at least one where the member posted how he was able to get it loose:

Thank you. I just got tired of searching and it has been a long day with another long day to follow. The poster seems to be describing the same issue. I will look into his solution for removal and wait patiently for my hybrid kit. Thanks again.

We're here to help each other and your thread helped me. Looking around it appears this problem isn't just with the Stingray and that the airflow control screw on the Kayfun has come out and gotten stuck quite a few times. I'm going to put a piece of tape over the screw. It wouldn't get stuck on my mod, but it might come loose and fall out when I take the Kayfun off to fill it. There are too many tiny screws and o-rings hiding in my house already.

Yeah, I can actually see it when I apply pressure and hold it up in front of my PC. I really don't know how that other guy's solution applies to this. "Friction fit" doesn't seem to have anything to do with a screw coming out on its own. Idk what to do.

So, it's completely out of the hole? Does it move at all if you hold it upside down and shake it?

So now we know lol if the airflow screw ever comes loose, use a receipt >_<

EDIT: I think this was divine intervention. When I was setting it back, up the coil mounted a little differently. And I ended up using less cotton. Then I dropped the airflow screw and can't find it. And now its vaping better than ever lol!

I've been observing this thread with interest. So exactly how did you use the paper to adjust the screw?

BTW, congrats on the success!

I'll bet he was able to slide it through and either wiggle the screw a little or get it under the screw. I was reading about people using dental floss (which I posted then deleted, since the problem was solved) and I was wondering if a hook made of Kanthal would have worked.
