Here is where you can get some.

The diameter and length you need is dependent on what you are using it for and how much voltage you are throwing at it.

Most people seem to go with 36 or 38 awg. I can see instances where 40 awg or even 32 or 34 awg could be used. Honestly any gauge could be used .. it all depends. I believe there is a calculation for all this. I do not know it, I just tinker.

PnJResources . com sells a Nichrome 80 sample pack that contains 10 ft spools of each 30, 32, 34, 36, 40, and 48 ga. for $12 and free shipping. That might help with your research.
