I'm sure my next coil will be better!

Give me some pointers. It was 30g kanthal, think 9 wraps on a 5/64 drill bit. It came out very pretty and lit all the way up right away. Nice and tight, lol! I lit it up several times, compressed it til it looked really good, then lit it up a few more times. The wicking actually went pretty well for a first try. Its squonking well.

This is where you can decide how much vapor you want. If you want more vapor, you can go lower in ohms on the coil.

For me, I like a set-up similar to yours, I put 9 wraps of 30g on a 1/16 drill bit (the next size down from your 5/64) and get around 1.9 ohms. For me this makes more vapor than the smoke from any cigarette I ever had, and much better flavor.

There are many vapers (probably most vapers) who like much more vapor than that and you can go lower in resistance on your coil to get there. At some stage, maybe below 1.5 ohms, you will probably need to drill the air hole out slightly to let more air in to get the more vapor. That is the beauty of RDA's, you can dial in whatever experience you want by choosing the coil build (ohms and wire gauge), and the air hole size.

ETA - just saw your other thread about a 1 ohm coil, oh well, good stuff, happy times! :)

Congrats!!! I just got my Reo Mini 2.1 as well. I am using the Reomizer 2.0 and my build is at .3 ohms. That'd definitely low by most peoples preferences but I am enjoying it very much.... I stress "MY PREFRENCE" because that's what this is all about. It's what you like and what taste good to you. Don't worry about what anyone else says unless you are being unsafe.

The vape you end up with is a combination of heat and air flow. So you need to balance and play with three things to find your perfect vape.
1. Coil ohms and size
2. coil placement
3. airflow

The ohm of the coil will decide how much heat you get. Placement of the coil and size of the air holes.(after certain point drip tip comes into play), will effect airflow and thus flavor and amount of vapor.

When you increase the heat by dropping the ohms if the vapor is getting to hot for your throat increase airflow. The monster clouds you see are from lower ohms and more air.

Think of how the air flows in the RBA. It comes in from the side and bends up and out the drip tip, getting the coil in the direct flow of air increases flavor and vapor. This why we tell people to put the coil close to the air hole.

General guidelines.
Coil closer to the airhole = more flavor
coil moved higher = more throat hit
lower ohm + more air = clouds
