And here are some tips -
Atomizer + cartridge is probably the most annoying way to vape - but it's better with blue foam stuffing in the cart instead of the loose white stuff. Precut blue foam stuffing for 510 is at strictlyejuice.com, and those can be cut down for smaller carts. The bulk foam is Marineland Rite-Size U Bonded Foam Sleeve for Magnum H.O.T. Filters (aquarium dept in Petsmart)
Cartomizers provide a more even and troublefree
vaping experience than atty+cart once you get used to filling them correctly with appropriate juices and keeping them damp. The juices that work best for me in stuffing-type cartomizers are light transparent (less likely to leave sediment) juices with 20% pr less VG.
Clear cartomizers crack and fall apart - know that in advance, don't complain, that's what they do
Slim ecigs cannot use the hotter LR low resistance atomizers and cartomizers. If you want to vape that hot then get a PT or a fat battery model or mod w/ 450mah+ batteries. And don't try to run a PT off a computer's USB or off a battery charger's AC to USB. Use a 2amp AC to USB adapter.
Manual batteries are less likely to be damaged or killed by juice leaks and manuals make it easier to get a good hit.
PG is thin, lets through flavors and nicotine's TH and irritation the best, makes thin visible vapor. VG is thick and dulls/smooths everything PG lets through, but makes thicker looking/feeling vapor. Most like a blend. Some methods of vaping prefer thin juices like 20% VG or less.
