I just brought a subtank mini which I really like. I don't think I'm able to use it to its fullest because I have an istick 30W. At the moment, I'm not interested in doing high watts because I'm more interested in flavor vs. clouds.

During my veiwing of Youtube video's, I came across the Uwell Crown which everyone seems to say offers way more flavor than the subtank mini. I use the RBA on my subtank mini and I getting way more flavor at the cost of using more juice than I did with my nautilus. My birthday is on Monday and I was thinking of buying the Crown since so many people swear by it.

However, I just read a review from someone that says it's his opinion is an honest opinion. He states that the Crown is for higher end mods and will not benefit anyone not using higher than 30 watts. Based upon the reviews on Youtube, it does appear that his opinion is correct since very one seems to be using higher than 30w mods.

Since I don't have much money, is spending $65 for this tank worth it or should I just invest in a better regulated mod while still using my subtank mini? My B&M is charging me $45 for the tank and I've found the RBA add on for $20 including shipping online. That brings the total up to $65. I don't have $100 to spend for a mod and looks is important to me when it comes to my mods. It also has to be regulated and VW/VV. $65 is the top of my budget right now.

Honest opinion; you dont need to be pushing 100w for great flavor. The current hype seems to be sub ohming etc which generally requires high wattage but also in the 1-1.5 ohm range there are sufficient great RTAs out there which provide great flavor and work nicely with your istick 30.

My daily vape is a taifun @ 1 ohm, 12w. I have plenty others but for flavor and ease of use, the taifun still holds it ground. If you don't have much money in your pocket right now, look at some of the maybe less recent tanks and safe up some money for later. Or maybe a nice bday diner, also great for taste.

Enjoy your bday :)

    Save your money.

It seems to me that high taste and high vapor have at least one thing in common - large coil surface area.

On the lower power builds this means higher resistance and longer coils to spread the heat around.

Will over 30w out perform <30w? Sure. 60w, 80w 100w (etc) will put out more vapor and more flavor.

I'd say keep your istick for now. I know you are looking into tanks, but perhaps pick up a tried and true dripper and try your hand at rebuilding if flavor is really what you are after. Will save you money in the long run as well.
Sub ohm tanks are being released at a crazy rate and there is a new greatest and best hype every week.

30w is fine for most 28 and 26 gauge dual coil builds. Higher watts primarily produce bigger clouds (with some exceptions). Best flavor is a composition of atomizer chamber size and shape, the build and airflow vs power. Heck, some of the tastiest drippers out there are of the tiny 17mm variety.

I am focused on flavor, too. Anything with the word "sub-tank" is geared for high power, high airflow and big clouds. If you go to the following you will find a lot of discussions and reviews, also YouTube.

    https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/forums/rebuildable-atomizer-systems.751/

For flavor, I use the Rose V2. I don't think anyone, who has tried it, will disagree. It has a small air intake and a small drip tip. There is just enough air flow to move the vapor, and it does that slowly.

Others that I use are the Kayfun, Aqua V2, EXpromizer, Erlkongin, the old Lemo, and I just got an AGA T5 ($9.95!). Yes, they are older, but sub-ohming has driven the manufacturing. So, the "new" stuff is focused there.

I love to sit, relax, and enjoy a good vape.

    Hope helps

You're right, my bad...dang, good deal.

I haven't bought from them yet, but they have a huge selection now in the US warehouse, and some darn good prices. Worth it over waiting for things from China. A year ago all they had was like 15 bad clones, but now they have a ton of stuff, including authentic mods.

If you don't want to go higher in watts, don't buy a higher power mod. That route will also increase your juice consumption, sometimes significantly. You can get a lot of flavor from the right tank at 30 watts or less.

The Rose v2 is the queen when it comes to flavor tanks. And even if you put duals in it, 30W is plenty (and yes, I've put duals init, but the vape was identical to running single coil).

The Aqua v2 is great also and can be run on a 30W mod.

Both of these options are great if you are OK with making coils and wicking them. I don't have any experience with good lower power tanks that take pre-built heads so if that is what you're after hopefully someone who knows them will give you advice.

Hey, There are plenty of High wattage mods online for under 65 bucks. Check out Fasttech, Shipping is slow, But
I mean, Just to name a few, Smok x cube II, New Aspire Pegasus, Istick 100w, Etc, Even other shops, not Fasttech.... do a google search.

Plus, I love flavor, Dont care about the clouds. I find my best flavor is at 60 watts. Watts is not all about clouds. As a matter of fact... I believe most people get bigger clouds at higher ohms, lower watts.

Just to note though, that link is in China. No doubt a better price can be had out there, but the shipping time from this might not be worth the price...unless they want it for their next birthday ;)
No. Angelcigs is in the USA, pretty fast shipping. Their office is in China.

In my 3+ years of vaping here is how I have seen it played out.

Boards go crazy with newest dripper. People build a semi rolled ribbon clapton 5x twisted crooked jamaji nano coil on it and fill the board with how great this atty is. People buy it and to be part of the "in" crowd start saying how great it is. Other that buy it don't like it and set it in their "to try again later" pile and do not bother posting about it.

The only opinion that matters is yours. While new fan boi utube video fiend may say how great something is only you know. Unfortunately for you, the only method available to to try them out. That means buying and testing.

My favorite RDA is the Little Boy. My favorite tanks are the STMs. They may or may not be yours. I also enjoy the Mountain King as an RDA.

If you are determined to go the Uwell Crown route, try this link. Gets you the crown tank and the rebuildable for around $34 (and probably some shipping).

    https://vaporider.net/shop/sub-ohm-tanks/uwell-crown-tank-rda-base-combo/

And Alien, I just purchased a 521 Tab from angelcigs. their website shows 200+ in stock but they say they won't ship until late October. Can't figure that one out.

Yes, your deal looks better. As for Angelcigs, I bought from them just once, shipping price was a bit high, delivery time - a few days. But I've heard sometimes they can be slower.

The istick 100 from American vendors is $35, the 60 watt mutation box is $40, 60 watt koopor is $40, heck a 65 watt m65 is $20! Add a goblin v2 or mini, a goliath v1 or a Lemo, looking at $70 total. I'll take any of those tanks over a stm...

Not saying don't get the crown as it has great reviews, but you can definitely find it cheaper online!
