Need mod help bad!!!

Hey ECF i am trying to complete my madvapes VV mod box and my dog has gotten a hold of the 50k pot it comes with. I called Radio Shack and the only 50k that have is huge and wont fit in the box. Can i sub it for like a 100k or will that mess it up. Please help. Thank in advance for your help

it`s no good. work`s but you don`t have a fine adjustment of volts, it`s posibile to have a large steps.You may try to see what happens.

Mouser.com has one for $0.20 not sure what shipping charges are (36FR50KLF BI Technologies Trimmer Resistors - Through Hole). Could contact mad vapes and see if you can get a replacement.

I got help from steeljan she told me to use a 100K and put a 100k resistor in series with it. And it worked like a carm. She was such a big help thanks guy. as for MV replacing it that was a big no lol. Not their fault.

2 100k resistors in series instead of 1 50k? 200k instead of 50k? Maybe in parallel?

I believe what was meant was that a 100 kohm resistor was placed in series with a 100 kohm potentiometer.
This was used with the madvapes.com variable voltage kit.

The 100K resistor in series with the 100k pot will give you 200k not 50k like slimest said. You want it in parallel.

Yes, I said put them in parallel to half the 100K pot. LOL!

lol it was parallel I'm sorry steeljan and ECF. But it works and now I don't have a huge knob sticking off the side. But again thank you steeljan. Owe you big time.

I think, if you enjoy your e-cig, it does not matter, what way a resistor soldered, in parallel or in series... You just enjoy...
