I love my NCIG. For NJOY newbies who want to know the difference between NCIG and NPRO, I've owned both, and here's all you need to know: NCIG PWNZ NPRO any day of the week.

There's just one problem: Apparently NJOY has recently switched to a different manufacturer for their batteries, and I don't know who the new manufacturer is, but their quality control standards are nonexistent. I've been through more than a half-dozen batteries in the past month. NJOY is wonderful about replacing them, but then the new batteries fail within days or sometimes within hours. Today I had two batteries fail on me within the same day.

It is no longer worth wasting my time to get free replacements from the company, since the replacements are virtually guaranteed to fail within 30 days or your money back.

But I've learned by browsing this forum that there are a number of sources for replacement parts (including batteries) for my NCIG.

Can someone with a bit more experience point me towards a distributor who will supply me with more reliable batteries than NJOY?

From this forum, I have learned that there are a number of products which are compatible with my NCIG:

  • DSE801
  • Joye 302
  • KR108
  • BE112
  • RN4072
  • M201
  • E11
  • Janty Kissbox
Are there any users of any of the above products who have obtained batteries recently, who found the batteries to be reliable and of high quality?

By experimenting with my failed batteries, I have learned that the defect is in a rubber O-ring which appears to be used as an insulator between the center terminal and the outer terminal ring of the battery. When the O-ring falls out (which usually happens within days of first use, in my experience,) the battery immediately fails.

I have managed to revive one of my batteries by removing the center terminal, replacing the O-ring, and VERY GENTLY screwing it back onto the atty (too much pressure causes the O-ring to pop out immediately.)

However, the other battery seems to be beyond my best efforts to repair.

If anyone else is having this problem, hopefully this info will help.
